Actually I want to develop a website for students of my university.Through this website students could easily view their profile, attendance percentage, gpa/cgpa and list of all those courses for which they are enrolled. In this website students could chat, discuss course material and upload course material. This website could also contain a page for teachers where teachers could upload lectures,quizzes and assignments etc.This is the detail of project. Kindly help me in this regard.

Write down your requirements. Break them down into screens and design the navigation using HTML. Show it to your potential users and get feedback from them. This will allow you to understand what you require to do. So far, no coding is involved.
Once this is done, then take ONE screen to develop. Attempt to do it on your own, use Google. If you get stuck in something technical, find out the appropriate forum and post the technical question there.

Hi,
I’ve got a problem that I have 1 master page and 2 content page a master page contain a textbox for search and in first content page contain a login control and in second content page contain a change password control when in firefox browser I select remember password in login page and go to the second page the password is clearly type on the textbox(master page) and the focus of curser is default on this text box so how can I remove this focus and resolve my problem?

It's a bit difficult to explain my problem,I have a text box in master page, in one of my content page I use login control, in firefox if I chose remember me and login in another of my content page I use change password control, then if I load this page in to change password, the password was written in text box of master page Why?please help me it's very necessary

I have a webpage Here[^].
It is just a holding page until I sort out a proper design.
However...
Clicking on the links merely gives an error.
Within the FTP site I have a sub directory called httpdocs, wherein I dump my stuff.
My site consists of several directories and several pages.
In the Shared folder I have my Layout.cshtml page that looks like this:

In the main part I have my default.cshtml page that looks like this:

<p>A Home Page (Default.cshtml)</p>
<p>A Layout File (Layout.cshtml)</p>

As you see, on load it goes to the defau;t page and loads it, pulling the layout from a secondary page.
This works fine.
However, the links don't work.
If you go to the actual web page online and look at the source code it appears different, as it has been interperated.
(Incidentally, there is a rather amusing message when you look at the source code of the error page).
Are my paths correct?
Am I dim?
Have I missed the bleedin' obvious?

I'm not clear on your problem though. Is it the Not Found errors or the the Home and About not being displayed with the layout as in the default page?

Apologies.
Not a trick.
There was a message and the view source came up with a whole load of padding explaining that short error message were not shown and that padding was needed.
It went on for 20 odd lines!
However, the problem has no changed.
I can navigate, finally.
However the Layout.cshtml is not rendering the required result.
So now you see the content, but only as bare bones except for a little html (font size).
It should hold the same as when you first visit the site ie blue with pics etc.
I am not sure what is going wrong/

Although having the layouts in a shared folder they should be picked up, but since the pages are in a sub-folder there may be an issue. Try moving one of the pages to the same location as your default and try. Unfortunately I'm not as familiar with Razor as with MVC.
