Hi,
You have declared iloop as Integer. In dot net if we do not initialize the intiger it will take it as -1 as the initial value. So assign it 0 or 1 as
Dim iLoop As Integer = 0
This should work.....

Hi All,
I have a web application that generates crystal reports. Version used is 9.2.3.97. If the end users windows is XP i can export these reports to (pdf, excell, word...) else if windows 2003 i got an error saying:"Error in File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\temp_37248246935.rpt Failed to load report".
Solutions tried so far:
1.What windows are you using? What service pack?
Windows Server 2003 – SP1
2.What upgrades/updates/installations have you conducted lately?
Installed the CR9.2 Redistributable package.
3.Have you conducted any changes on the level of admin group?
No (Added the IUSR_ and IWAM_ users to the admin group… didn’t work.. so I removed them.)
4.Where are you noticing this error, online or offline? If online, is it working offline?
I only load the report within an ASPX page. Can’t test them offline since the data comes from a dataset at runtime.
5.Do you have Crystal reports installed on your machine? If yes, which version?
Yes, Crystal reports 9.2.3.97
6.Was the Crystal reports generating PDF files before? then it suddenly stopped.
No
7.Are you being able to convert the report to any other type other than PDF?
No (tried Excel and Word)
8.Where are you saving the report used in the aspx page?
Not saving it, Using the Response.Write to render it into the page directly. The temporary files are handled by CR. (I believe stored on C:\Windows\Temp)
9.Have you tried to install any hot fixes for Crystal Reports and .NET?
Yes… Installed the Service Pack 3 for Crystal Reports 9.
NB: We only get the problem on Windows Server 2003… the configuration works fine on XP and WS 2000.

I have a requirement to show two instances of the same wizard on 1 page.
The problem I am having is that when I hit the next button on one wizard it validates the step it relates to but then also validates the steps on the other wizard.
One way I thought of to solve this problem is by assigning the controls on each step to their own uniquely numbered validation group. And then wiring the next button on each step to the same validation group.
Is this the best approach ?

As per our requirement i have created a word report with password.
And i am exporting it to the client system.
It works fine in some system. But in some client system the gif images are not correctly loaded.
For all the clients the images are correctly generated at the server(i commented the code of deleting the file at the server).
And it also happened that for some clients where the images were not correctly loaded it began to load when tried another day. And vice versa also happened yet another day. I really don't know why this inconsistancy is happening.
And i was checking out at the clients were Word 2000 was installed. As i was automating Word 2000(Word 9.0.2720) at the server.
Actually while creating the document at the server i am inserting a table containing those gif images, with some formatted headings in it...
And that table is made as a header for the word document...
I just copied the file from the client system where the image is not correctly loaded to the client system where the image is correctly loaded.
Found out that it is correctly loaded.
Again i opened the file through the network from the system where the images are correctly loaded. It was alright. And everything is displayed correctly.
Now feel that it is due to some client side settings at the desktop.
In Word 9.0 what are the sttings to be enforced to load images ?
If any body could tell me that i would be grateful....
And is there any way to enforce that settings while exporting the file to the client... Doubtful of that, as we will have to
change settings of the Word Application at client...but still...

Hi there;
there is no probs in display of image in large view.
I also used the same earlier.
what i had done is use href where the image is going to display on your render control.
See the code below which i used dynamically, just look it
img = new HtmlImage();
an = new HtmlAnchor();
an.HRef = "Images/" + arr[count];
img.Height = 120;
img.Width = 100;
img.Alt = arr[count];
an.Title = arr[count];
img.Src = "Images/" + arr[count];
}

Hi Socheat.Net,
Wht does this mean ?
Response.Cookie("username")=txtUser.Text
Response.Cookie("password")=txtpwd.Text
Do u have already created two cookies as named above, username and password. I don't think so.
Write rather like this,
HttpCookie ck = new HttpCookie("username");
ck.Value = txtUser.Text;
DateTime dt = new DateTime(DateTime.Now.Year+1, DateTime.Now.Month, DateTime.Now.Day); //use ur expiration
ck.Expires = dt;
ck.Expires = dt;
Response.Cookies.Add(ck);

Thanks & Regard

Hi,
Am just learning ASP.NET can u tell me wats the difference if the first parameter in a event handler is source or sender? Tht is, if it is EventHandler1(object source, EventArgs e) or EventHandler2(object sender, EventArgs e). What does that actually signify?
Regards,
Sriraj.
|
|
|
|
|
Sender signifies the object raising the event. If you click on a button then sender will be button object.

Thanks Prakash. but one more small clarification I need then sometimes I have seen that, this is replaced with Source. Tht is (Object Source, ...) Wat does tht mean? source is being used in which context?
Regards,
Sriraj.
|
|
|
|
|
See look only over upon the type of argument that supplied to function.
Source is the only variable that is of type object so it doesnt matter whether it is sender or source, the logic is same
