Thanks for the reply.
While testing both the TestBoxes are visible on the page.
For me it seems like the validator never 'sees' the JavaScript generated value in the 2nd TextBox.

Mike

Found the problem...
I'd forgot to set the Type of the validator so it always returned false

Without being an Access expert I do see something that looks a little odd in the code you posted.
<br />
update tbladvance <br />
set check = false<br />
and <br />
where <br />
ecode = '1011' <br />
and <br />
type = 'festival' <br />
and <br />
check = true<br />
Should probably be:
<br />
update tbladvance <br />
set check = false <br />
where <br />
ecode = '1011' <br />
and <br />
type = 'festival' <br />
and <br />
check = true<br />
So remove the 1st AND

Mike

hi all,
i need a optimized solution for my problem.my situation arises such that i need to loop which internally calls lots of classes i.e including creating
object for that class. say
class c
{
for i=1 to 10000
{
create object for class a;
a.function1;
a.function2;
create object for class b;
b.function1;
b.function2;
}
}
class a
{
function 1
function 2
function 3
}
class b
{
function 1
function 2
}
so where should i create the object inside the loop or outside the loop. will creating object inside the loop kills the time or not?

raj_developer wrote: so where should i create the object
It Depends on wat are the function and how you want to use that object.
I think for performance improvement you should create a object outside.
Inside loop will create a object 10000.
|
|
|
|
|
Impossible to say because it depends on what you are doing with the objects.
Please give some more information about your intentions.

Hi,
I have this sql statement:
Dim strSQL2 As String = "Select Dep_code from vwDepList where Member_ID =" & EmailAddID
Can I put it in a Select Case statement?
Select case strSQL2
Case "1"
label1.text = "hello"
so on....
End select
How will I do this? Need a tutorial.
Thanks in advance.

Erhm, I totally don't understand your question and the code seems really weird! You can compare the case construction with an 'if' kind of construction
Dim s as string = "a"<br />
<br />
Select case s<br />
Case "a"<br />
Do something<br />
Case "b"<br />
Do Something else<br />
End Select
The case block's result here would exactly match the following if construction
Dim s as string = "a"<br />
If (s = "a") Then<br />
Do something<br />
Else if (s = "b") Then<br />
Do something else<br />
End If
|
|
|
|
|
Just as a side note:
Do not concatenate query strings! Use Parameters!!
Better performance, easier to program (i.e. DateTime format problems), stringer against SQL injection.

hello frnd hkchauhan,
try the following example of reading using Stream Reader
Imports System
Imports System.IO
Imports System.Text
Public Class Test
Public Shared Sub Main()
Dim path As String = "c:\temp\MyTest.txt"
Try
If File.Exists(path) Then
File.Delete(path)
End If
Dim sr As StreamReader = New StreamReader(path)
Do While sr.Peek() >= 0
'This is an arbitrary size for this example.
Dim c(5) As Char
sr.Read(c, 0, c.Length)
'The output will look odd, because
'only five characters are read at a time.
Console.WriteLine(c)
Loop
sr.Close()
Catch e As Exception
Console.WriteLine("The process failed: {0}", e.ToString())
End Try
End Sub
End Class

Hi dude.
Hope this helps, it can't be easier than this:
<br />
public string LoadFromFile(string FileName)<br />
{<br />
try<br />
{<br />
string fileContents;<br />
<br />
using (StreamReader sr = new StreamReader(FileName))<br />
{<br />
fileContents = sr.ReadToEnd();<br />
}<br />
return fileContents;<br />
}<br />
catch (Exception exc)<br />
{<br />
return exc.Message;<br />
}<br />
}
Good luck

Hi,
We are creating a Code generation Tool for internal use. This tool uses a dll, which helps generate the BL and DL of the generated solution. Sometimes this dll gives an error while the Tool is run, if I give user "ASPNET" full permission on this dll, the error vanishes.
The Error is provided below:
Parser Error Message: Access is denied: 'AAA.BBB.CCC.BL'.
Line 196:add assembly="System.EnterpriseServices, Version=1.0.5000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a"/
Line 197:add assembly="System.Web.Mobile, Version=1.0.5000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a"/
Line 198:add assembly="*"/
Line 199:/assemblies
Line 200:/compilation
Error is in Line 198.
Does anybody know why this happens?
