Hi my dear friends,im experiencing great difficulties while launching my project to the .Net...
1.i have given domain name,userid,password in FTP.
2.in wwwroot,i have included my folder
3.when im started to browse a site,
im receiving this error....

Find your folder,
Right-click -"Properties"
Click "Create" button.

Hi.
In mygridview i m displaying one column called Creative AS link
This column contain different file path when i click on the link it should open that file store in the client machine but it's not opening only excel file and giving this error "Files/Copy%20of%20name516.xls"

I had given
gridview1.datasource = dataset;
gridview1.databind();
and every thing is working well...
Now i want to implement soring event on the same gridview.... Can u help... me....

Lets do One Thing
create A DataView and sort dataview.sort="YourColumnName"
and bind your grid that particular dataview

Is there a way that I can assign roles using windows authentication? I'm busy with an intranet site so I'm using windows authentication for the users to access the site, but I want to assign roles to certain users because they must have access to pages that other users can't view.

You can create the user group in Active Directory. then, add the users to a particular group. then, you can check the current user under which group..

I'm picking up one major problem with this, it will change the user groups on the entire network and that's not what I want to do, I just want to allow specific users access to certain pages regardless of their groups on the network, that mustn't be changed.

Hi Mihir Thanks for reply. i have gone through the link you have given.
this is using reporting services to render any report in any file format. my scenario is totally different as i am having one gridview and i want to display (open or save)the gridview content in pdf file.
here i am not saving my gridview data into database in any format(not even report). so i can't use this as it will work only if we are saving our data or have any data in database as report(using reporting services), then we can use reporting service to display it in any format.
please let me know if i am wrong.

i tried that one, it is working fine for excel but for pdf no luck, it's saving file, but while opening it's giving error saying either file is currupted or not decoded properly.
please let me know if it is working for you for pdf files.

I had tried it for PDF ... & Got same ... Error.... so sorry for that.....
in that case may be some toolkit or Lib. will... work... but u r not ready to use them ... so try .. some other thing and if got it share it with me.....
