Hi,
you have to get datafrom database and have to add MenuItem at runtime.
and if Item contains child Items then when creating New MenuItem, you have to add all child items in that MenuItem.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks,

TextBoxweb.text = Ctype(ucl.FindControl("textBoxcul"),TextBox).Text
Session Objects are not meant for assigning value from one textBox to another. I recommend you to read a good ASP.NET Book to learn how to do such a thing.

A datalist control will be rendered as HTML table or div tags. Why do you want to access them through JS ?
|
|
|
|

Because I am using checkbox in DataList.If i click checkall button all checkbox are selected.I have done this in server side.but i like to do this in client side
Thank& Regards

In the "Check all" check box call a JS function from Onclick event. Loop through all datalist records and check the other checkboxes. To get how many rows datalist have, keep a public variable and assign the row count to there. You can take this variable value to JS and start loop.

you can access any control on the client-side through JavaScript using the following statement document.getElementById(ClientID) .
Note: Every child control placed in the DataList will have a Unique clientId for each item.

you dont need to access datalist control to access checkBox you just need to send number of rows for ur purpose and then loop through all the rows..
for(var rowNum=1; rowNum<=parseInt(TotalRows,10); rowNum++)
{
if(document.getElementById('checkBox'+rowNum).checked = true;
}
I guess this code can help u out..

the problem is that i used the following code to download a file from server to the client machine....
Dim strFileName As String = "createuser.tif" ' it is the file in server
Dim fs As System.IO.FileStream = Nothing
fs = System.IO.File.Open(Server.MapPath(strFileName), System.IO.FileMode.Open)
Dim btFile(fs.Length) As Byte
fs.Read(btFile, 0, fs.Length)
fs.Close()
With Response
.AddHeader("Content-disposition", "attachment;filename=" & strFileName)
.ContentType = "application/octet-stream"
.BinaryWrite(btFile)
.End()
End With
it has worked fine promting a message where to save the tif file ...but when i downloaded download Accelerator Plus and running the asp.net application instead of getting the tif file iam getting default.aspx page of the application how this problem is solved

If you want it urgently, pay for the solution - there are many here who will help if you pay. This is a voluntary forum. We will help if and when we can.

What I could understand is
U have one grid which shows all online users and u r refreshing this list after a predefined time..
Now what is ur exact problem please elaborate...
|
|
|
|
|
function launchRemote(idx)
{
idx.disabled=true;
var myRemote= window.open("dumpTest.aspx",idx.id,"height=350,width=110,alwaysLowered=0,alwaysRaised=0,channelmode=0,dependent=0,directories=0,fullscreen=0,hotkeys=1,location=0,menubar=0,resizable=0,scrollbars=0,status=0,titlebar=1,toolbar=0,z-lock=0","myWindow");
}
I want to call this javascript in the rowcommand event of grid.bcoz of putting the timer ,the timer will refresh the grid .so the disabled row in grid will be enabled after refreshing.How we avoid this problem of refreshing the row after each postback .

Hi,
I am having a real issue with dynamically adding content to the ModalPopupExtender ajax control in asp.net. I am using c# 2.0 and latest ajax version.
I have the following definition in the .aspx file:
<br />
<ajaxToolkit:ModalPopupExtender ID="mpeConvertToApp" runat="server" CancelControlID="btnDlgCancel"<br />
PopupControlID="pnlPopup" TargetControlID="btnDummy" BackgroundCssClass="modal" DropShadow="true" PopupDragHandleControlID="pnlPopup" <br />
DynamicControlID="lblInfo" DynamicContextKey="test" DynamicServicePath="~/WebServices/Comparison2Service.asmx" DynamicServiceMethod="GetContextKey"/><br />
and my web service call is defined in /WebServices/Comparison2Service.asmx as:
<br />
[WebService(Namespace = "http://tempuri.org/")]<br />
[WebServiceBinding(ConformsTo = WsiProfiles.BasicProfile1_1)]<br />
[ScriptService]<br />
public class Comparison2Service : System.Web.Services.WebService<br />
{<br />
[System.Web.Services.WebMethod]<br />
[System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptMethod]<br />
public string GetContextKey(string contextKey)<br />
{<br />
string returnedFromWebMethod = "test1234";<br />
return returnedFromWebMethod;<br />
}<br />
}<br />
This gives me the error "web service call failed: 500".
Now I have tried the following:
- Remove the DynamicServiceMethod and DynamicServicePath properties and the dialog displays as I would expect (without dynamic information). So no problems there.
- Changing the GetContextKey(string contextKey) to GetContextKey() works, but the return value populates the label lblInfo with the text "[object]" as opposed to "test1234".
It seems like the webservice definition is wrong somehow (like the string parameter is building a wrong signature to what is expected).
The webservice works fine by itself if I test it manually (through the IIS generated web page).
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated as its stressing me out I have searched everywhere and this post is my last resort.
Cheers,
Andy
