if so u can use innerHTML in javascript.

can we can open .aspx page without showing its extesion.
i mean, suppose my aspx page name is info.aspx, but when i ren the
application then it open the page /info , form but .aspx should not
come,while opening page.

You can use the URL rewritting thing in ASP.NET. If you like to get the example, you can search with this keyword "ASP.NET URL rewritting" in Google.

You can change the extension to anything that you like. Add the extension to application mapping list in IIS and map it to aspnet_isapi.dll. For removing the extension, you need to map all the requests to process via ASP.NET engine. I don't know how much efficient is this.

using URL Rewriting in ASP.Net you can set whatever url you want means you can hide .aspx extensions etc.

A simple way is to create subdirectories for each page and create default.aspx page in each directory.
in your case create a folder named info and in that you work in default.aspx so when you redirect to page/info it will automatically take the default page in the directory.

hi,
i am having two text boxes on the page..
The user is requested to enter value in the first Tbox and the square of it comes in to the second when the button is clicked ..this button is a html button...what i want to do is that when the user enters the second text box ..i mean focus ... then the output must appear in it without getting post back...the textbox must be a asp textbox not html ..
1. how to call the function
2. and in which event
3. what properties should i change

use input controls of html to do same and onfocus event of the control call javascript to do the same.

i want to use asp.net controls not the html controls

what i want to do is
1. user inputs a number in tb1 (asp.net control not html ctrl)
2. user press tab then
3. the output must appear in tb2 (asp.net control not html ctrl)
when the focus comes to tb2 it calls a fuction in java script ..square()
* the page must not get post back
* controls must be asp.net control
plz tell me how to call javascript function n from where should i call that ..?

why you calling a java script function for Squre.
if both of your Control are server side then do it in server side.
I think you want to calculate the Squre of tb1.
So do one thing in client side read the ClientID of the control (Tb1) and calculate the squre of Tb1.
and on lostfocus of TB2 Register one ScriptSetupBlock for calling the funciton .
Try the steps... Hope you learn a lot for doing this.

Tb1.Attributes.Add("OnBlur","YourJsFunction();"); call this in page_load. Inside JS function, find the element and put value to the second text box.

Attributes.Add adds attribute to the rendered controls. OnBlur is the JS event fired when it lost the focus.

HI,
Can we add 2 datatables in one dataset, each datatable from different database. If so, how we can add at a time.
Suppose if i get the datatable using sqlserver database then
dataset1 = sqldataset.tables[0];
If i get the datatable from Oracle database then
dataset1 = oradataset.tables[0];
is it correct? if so, it doesn't overwrite?

Hi All,
in my company we are working with asp. we have web server installed with the ASP project. we are using visual studio interdev. we will create a local instance for that wesite in the web server.my problem now is how can i integrate the files with VSS(Visual SourceSafe). that is when i check out the file in my machine others should not be able to check out or modify the file.
Urgent please help.

Install VSS 2005
In the left panel of VSS add project
Set working folder where your working folder exsits.
Then add files in this vss folder.

Recently i faced this question in one of the interview. i need solution for this.
Question is :---
If you have webpage and have a requirement to add more than 200 controls like labels, textboxes, dropdownlists etc.....How you manage this page.
Webpage containing more than 200 controls means its processing to server everytime page requests. How you manage this page?

Instead of server controls i preferd to use HTML controls, becoz it does not required parsing of ASp.net control tags to HTML tags which saves lot of processing n time.

It's very strange. How come "Webpage containing more than 200 controls" means "its processing to server everytime page requests"? No matter how many controls you have in a particular page. If you don't submit anything then there won't be any postback..
