Are you using the mail framework from .NET? Or a custom/third party solution?

Hi all
I am using this css for freezing header
.Divcontainer {
/* So the overflow scrolls */
width:98%;
/* Style */
border: 1px solid black;
}
.Divcontainer table th {
/* Keep the header cells positioned as we scroll */
position: relative;
top: expression(this.offsetParent.scrollTop - 2);
/* Style */
font-weight: bold;
height:20px;
background-color:#51c2d0;
font:bold 11px Tahoma;
color:#000000;
text-align: center;
}
.Divcontainer table th a {
/* Style */
color:#000000 ;
text-decoration: underline;
text-align: center;
font-size:11px;
font-weight:bold;
}
.Divcontainer table th a:hover {
/* Style */
color:#ffffff ;
text-decoration: underline;
text-align: center;
font-size:11px;
font-weight:bold;
}
and this is my div that contain gridview component inside it.
<div id="print_Grid" class="Divcontainer" style="height:300px;overflow:scroll; position:relative;margin:10px 0 0 10px;">
My code working well for header frezzing but in case of using dropdown control in grid,all dropdown covers header means when i move up mouse cursur then all dropdown goes up even on header.
N!dh!

Just use this CSS Class
.HeaderFreez
{
position:relative ;
top:expression(this.offsetParent.scrollTop);
z-index: 10;
}
and Set Gridview Header Style to that CSS
<headerstyle cssclass="HeaderFreez" />

There are a couple of techniques out there for 'shimming' an iframe under the div that contains your header. The iframe should be z-index behind the div and will 'hide' the dropdownlists.

Some web sites has A A A to change the font size of the page although this can change the body font size, but how that also can change the font size of asp.net controls, i.e. on a login page?
Advanced thanks for your reply

By default, .NET controls are at 8.25 I believe. If you want to change it to something like 10 instead, you can't do it in the traditional way-
ctrl.Font.Size = 10
A way around is this is replacing the whole font in general-
ctrl.Font = new Font(ctrl.Font.FontFamily, 10, ctrl.Font.Style)
Try that out. Good luck.

Hi.
I have a javascript function.
I need to run it in middle of my server side code.
e.g. by clicking a button some server-side codes will be executed, then my javasript function be called
Best wishes

.NET is a server-side and Javascript is browser-side. In order to enact server-side code by clicking a button, you can POST information via a traditional form. This will refresh the page. The Javascript can be dynamically generated in the header. But I'm guessing you don't want the page to refresh?
In this case, you'll need some AJAX. It will send an XmlHttp request to the server and receive an XmlHttp request back. This could be Javascript contained within script tags. Take a look at this example-
http://w3schools.com/ajax/ajax_xmlfile.asp[^]
Put an onClick event on your button that calls a AJAX function. The server-side page should output your Javascript function. Then that gets written to the current page within the specified div. And done. Good luck!

my problem is to open another page in another frame.... i'm using Response.Write("webpage.asp"). i can not specify to display it inside the frame i made in a framset...

In order to display the page within a frame, you can use plain HTML-
<html>
<body>
<iframe src="webpage.asp"></iframe>
</body>
</html>
Try that out. Good luck.

Hi
How can I display time Count Down in a Asp.net web page. It should be displayed in a label showing the decrement of time for every second on the webpage.Time should be in hours:minutes:seconds format.
Does anyone know how to do this using JavaScript or preferably Asp.net with C#.net
|

FFS AJAX isn't the answer to everything, there's no need for callbacks here, just use a timer in javascript and display a countdown every second...
Chances are your callbacks will take more than a second so your countdown will start to get out of sync.

Here is a script that will help you out-
<head><script type="text/javascript">
function countDown(start) {
if (start>0) {
var next=--start;
document.getElementById("cd").innerHTML=next;
setTimeout("countDown("+next+")",1000);
}
}
</script></head>
<body>
<input type=text id=start>
<input type=button onClick='countDown(getElementById("start").value)'>
<div id="cd"></div>
</body>
The page offers a text box. Put in a value and hit the button. It will begin to countdown until 0. As said above, it is not necessary to continually call the server using AJAX commands. That will generate a hit on the server for every user, every second. Instead, let the browser do the work. Good luck!

Is there a way to get the contendId (cid) from mail message. Actually, I have got an application which has a drag and drop utility. Here we can drag the emails from outlook and it gets displayed within an editor (TXTextcontrol) from where, the user can edit the mail and send it. The problem I face now is that when I drag and drop, the images present in the mail is not displayed in the editor. I use mailmessage service to take the dropped mail onto the editor. I tried rewrighting the html body by replacing the image embeding syntax (where it uses ) with the new syntax where I save the attached images to a folder and specify the src as that path (). The problem is that while replacing the syntax, I am not able to get a relationship with the CID present in the original syntax whith that of the filename.
If I could get the cid from any of the attributes of mailmessage, my problem will be solved. Is there a way to get the cid. Please help me..............
Thanks in advance

Loop through each character of the password and count the numeric,alphanumeric or special character as per your requirement...
if any of the counter is zero show the messagebox and dont let user to proced..

As per the first answer, or you could use a regular expression to validate the input. Has the advantage of only the expression needing to change if you decide to change your validation.
|
|
|
|
|
Here you go. I used this script on one of my sites-
function validatePassword(fld) {
var error ="";
var pwdFilter = /^\w*(?=\w*\d)(?=\w*[a-z])(?=\w*[A-Z])\w*$/ ;
if (fld.value.length < 7 || fld.value.length > 20) {
error += "-Password must be 7-20 characters\n";
}
if (!pwdFilter.test(tfld)) {
error += "-Password must contain at least 1 number, lowercase, and uppercase\n";
}
if (error != "") {
alert("Some fields need correction:\n" + error);
return false;
}
return true;
}
That is the Javascript validation. You can call it onSubmit of a form-
<form method=POST action=register.aspx name=demo onSubmit='return validateForm(this)'>
Try that out. Good luck!
