Hi, I have a question.
How can I get all session (state) values in application (state) and delete selected session (state) in application (state) in ASP.NET ? Accually I want to abandon user (logout user) which is already login.
My login method like this;

For example; my username is ABC, I already login on XPC with XPC IP. If I loging in YPC with ABC username so I want to remove session come from XPC.
Or another basic example;
For example I am op in the web site, and I want to abond one user session. How can I remove this user session in my op account (or on my op session).

you mean you are at machine 1 with username a
and then i logged in with b username on machine 2
is that correct,then you dont need to do anything with that all users have diff. ids why should any one want this stupidity or maybe i dont get it pls explain what are you doing correctly so i could solve it. also you make session time out for limit user time validation for session.
also are you trying for admin purposes

Hi,
I have a gridview which gets values from a a SqlDataSource. I populate each row from a customer table on my database. One of the columns is an ID which links to a lookup table. The table is just int IDs and a corresponding name like "Existing", "New", "Employee".
How can I get my code to reference the lookup table and get the text version of the ID? Do I have to do a join in my SqlDataSource object?

What is your SqlDataSource pointing to. If you are writing SQL on the DataSource then yes you need to do join. Another alternative is to write SQL procedure and point your DataSource to the Procedure.

Dear All,
I just wondering how Codeproject.com prohibits non-registered users downloading any zip files attached in articles. For example, when I sign in and try to download any zip files attached in articles, I am able to download it. However, when I sign out and try to download any zip files simply I can not download. In both cases, the actual path of zip file seems transparent to user.
How may I implement this feature (keeping download url transparent to user but prohibiting non-registered users to download) in my personal website? Any sort of suggestions, references, examples or articles are greatly appreciated.

what do you mean by transparent? CP links are not transparent, you can clearly see the URL path.
What you need to do is add Users/Membership to your site and allow users to login. Once user is logged in keep their logged in state (session,cookie etc). Then when clicks on a link, check if they are logged in, if so allow them to continue, if not take them to login page.
Alternatively, show the link only when a user is logged in, otherwise the user does not get to see the link.

In ASP.net you can define a folder that can be accesed only the user is loged on
to do this you have to define location like

Hi guys
I am having a weird problem on the client's test server. ASP.NET 2.0.
My application works fine on my machine (where it is developped) and works fine on 2 of our test servers. However, once copied to the client's server, I am having a problem with only one page. The user logs in fine and selects a page from the menu. A grid will appear with a list of roles. The grid contains action image buttons to perform edit, delete, activate, deactive for each role. When I click on the edit image button I get the ajax popup alert error 404. I don't understand why it only happens in this page and only on this image button. If I click on view or deactivate, it works fine!
Many pages are ajax-enabled, not only this one, and they were fine!
any ideas?

What are the question marks? I suppose they are some special characters that were badly encoded/decoded?
if the system reads the page name as city-hotels-in-p?lgh?t.aspx and the page's current name is city-hotels-in-pâlghét.aspx for example, for sure the file will not be found. Maybe special characters can be escaped in the URL?
