'obj_wrr.Credentials = New System.Net.NetworkCredential(feedid, password)
Dim s As localhost.GoogleSearchService = New localhost.GoogleSearchService

Dim r As localhost.GoogleSearchResult
r = s.doGoogleSearch("", TextBox1.Text, 0, 10, False, "", False, "", "", "")

Hello,
I'm developing a web application, and at the beginning, I've put a login box in the main window. From this window, users will be redirectionated to different interfaces depending on their profiles. If you are the root, you will be send to a window with different options than if you are a visitor.
I know how to do this in Java (struts), with profiles, but I don't know how to do it in .NET.
Is there somebody who can help me?
Sorry if you don't understand correctly my English .

create on table in database, having to columns.........namely
1. User_ID
2. Url_Path(Specify path of the .aspx page here)
So that, through this table u can get the url for that particular user,
So after getting Use_ID from login page, u can easily redirect that user to the respective Url.
Try it out.
May be it will solve ur problem.

I will think about your solution, but I wonder if there are something in .NET similar to Java. In Java, working with struts, you have a xml file where you can configure the different options or components that your page is going to have. There you can use roles. Then, if some item is defined to role root, it will only be available if you login the system as root.
Here is an example:
<menu name="MenuIntegrado" title="Menu integrado" action="/welcome">
<item name="Option1" title="Insert" roles="Citizen" action="/agenda?method=new">
<item name="Option2" title="Delete" action="/delete">
<item name="Option3" title="Quit" action="/logout">
With this code, we can use the same jsp page for all users, but, if they are "Citizen", they will have an insert option plus the delete and quit option that other people will have.
Is there any solution like this in .NET?
PD. I still have to create the table to have the users, their roles and their passwords, but I would have only one .aspx page.

Hi all,
Iam developing web application in C#.Net, VS 2005. In this, I want to use Print dialog box, to take the print out. Is there any facility available as in the case of Windows Form( drag and drop Dialog Controls from the tool box).
If source code is available, then it would be much helpful for me.

I think you can use javascript for this purpose. There you can use window.print for this purpose.

Hi
Guys my application on server is logging the following message in the event log
aspnet_wp.exe (PID: 4100) was recycled because it was suspected to be in a deadlocked state. It did not send any responses for pending requests in the last 600 seconds. This timeout may be adjusted using the <processmodel responsedeadlockinterval=""> setting in machine.config.
what can be the reasons of the dead lock ?
|
|
|
|
|
May be the request what is being executed would have been taking so much of time. You can increase that execution time in the config file of the application.

The reason questions like this don't get answered is because you are asking for someone to provide you with an entire solution to your problem. You need to break out your problem into smaller segments and ask specific questions. What would you think if I were to log into Code Project and say "Can someone provide me with source code for a financial application similar to Quickbooks?" You would think that was a ridiculous request. Well, your request may not be as ridiculous, but nobody here is going to write your code for you. Google's API is well documented and there are other tools for doing geo-location. Try to do what you want first and then ask specific questions.
Also, this is an ASP .NET forum. The question you are wanting an answer for would be better categorized in the Web Development forum since it is not specific to ASP .NET.

Did you sign up for a Google Maps API key here: http://www.google.com/apis/maps/[^]?
If so, you have to make sure you are using the key from the server that you typed into the API key signup page. If you are running it from your local system, then you need to generate a key for "localhost".

{
Anthem.Manager.AddScriptForClientSideEval("EnterText()") ;
this.Panel1.Visible = ! this.Panel1.Visible;
this.Panel1.UpdateAfterCallBack = true;
BindDataSource();//method written to chk whether username exists
}
is there any alternative way of calling the method
Thanks,

Hi
I am working on web application using ASP.NET,vb.net & backend as SQL SERVER 2000.
1- I want construct a web page where any user can send an sms to US phone numbers only. The sms willbe send to around 6 gateways & the sms will be sent only through the correct gateway(i have a list with available gateways).
We will use an external SMTP to avoid blocking or blacklisting due to sending several sms's to wrong gateways.
2- Also i want to enable the sender to chose to route the response to his phone or email....
Any ideas on step 1,2,1 and 2.....
I would appreciate it
Thanks.

Hi
Solution is
On pageload method just write as -
btnPrint.Attributes.Add("Onclick", "getPrint('print_area');")
(btnPrint is an id of html button control)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
------------Copy this function.......................................
function getPrint(print_area)
{
//Creating new page
var pp = window.open();
//Adding HTML opening tag with … portion
pp.document.writeln('<title>Print Preview')
pp.document.writeln('<base target="_self" />')
//Adding Body Tag
pp.document.writeln('');
//Adding form Tag
pp.document.writeln('');
//Creating two buttons Print and Close within a table
pp.document.writeln('');
//Writing print area of the calling page
pp.document.writeln(document.getElementById(print_area).innerHTML);
//Ending Tag of , and
pp.document.writeln('');
}

Sir,
We use Public Functions and in it's definition using Get and Set Functions .Now the problem is When we can get each and every thing without using functions having Get and set functions in it's definitions .Then what's the advantage of using these functions.
Thanks.
