Sir;
you can add an if statement to the function that handles the load event of the page checking if the session is null and redirecting to the logging page. Just like the code below;
if (Session["UserName"] == null) Response.Redirect("~/loggingpage.aspx");

If this is written in Page Load event. It fires only when page is loaded. It does'nt fires (Page Load Event) when session timeout.

Every Time The Page Loads, check for any Session Variable You Set At The Time Of Login IS NOT NULL.. If It Is NULL, Then Redirect To The Login Page Else Complete The Request.

When I am testing a web form application 2010 using a custom server (where the url address is 'https:/ip address of my workstation/virtual directory), I get the error message: 'System.InvalidOperationException: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine'.
**Note the custom web server is IIS7 that is running on my workstation.
Basically I am trying to have my workstation act like the production iis server. The problem is the production server has 32bit and 64 bit versions of excel installed on it.
However on my workstation, I have a 32 bit version of excel 2007. (The web application takes the data from the excel spreadsheets and loads the data into the database.)
From what I have seen on the internet, having both a 32 bit and 64 bit version of excel on the same computer has problems. Thus can you tell me what you would suggest I try to solve this probloem?

Office most of the time creates problem when you work on different environment so I would suggest use Open XML for office use. No office installation required on at least server environment.

xcan you give me an explaination of what open xml is used for?

As per my understanding, you are accessing Excel file through your Asp.Net application. If correct then go for Open XML http://openxmldeveloper.org/[^]

Please read that error message again.
What does it mean?
A COM component is required.
It is called 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider.
It is not registered (i.e. likely not installed) on the local machine.
So: what's the next step?
Install the oledb components on that computer!
For more information on doing that, read http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4231330/More-Of-A-Tip-Than-A-Question.aspx[^].

Hi,
I am using jquery autocomplete.
I am implementing multi values for autocomplete
while entering data into text box is fine.
But when page is post back I am displaying the previously selected values, now if i want to delete the selected values how can i know which value is deleted from text box.
And my data is from database if user keep on pressing back space or select content from text box and click on delete can i know which value is selected and which value is deleted.
Here is my sample code
$("#personGroupID").autocomplete({ minLength: 3,
multiple: true,
mustMatch: true,
autoFill: true,
source: function (request, response) {
currentvalue = this.term.split(', ');
searchlength = currentvalue.length;
var theUrl = "/Pages/ITS/ITSLookUpService.aspx?Type=PersonGroup&Value=" + currentvalue[currentvalue.length - 1].toUpperCase();
$.ajax({
url: theUrl,
data: request,
dataType: "json",
type: "POST",
success: function (data) {
response(data);
}
});
},
select: function (event, ui) {
var terms = split(this.value);
terms.pop();
terms.push(ui.item.DESCRIPTION);
terms.push("");
var selectedvalue = document.getElementById("personGroupID").value;
if (selectedvalue = "") {
document.getElementById("personGroupID").value = terms.join(", ");
}
else {
}
if (document.getElementById("HiddenPersonGroup").value != "") {
var selectedpersongroupsk = document.getElementById("HiddenPersonGroup").value.split(',');
var exist = false;
for (var i = 0; i < selectedpersongroupsk.length; i++) {
if (selectedpersongroupsk[i] == ui.item.PRSG_SK) {
exist = true;
}
}
if (!exist) {
document.getElementById("HiddenPersonGroup").value = document.getElementById("HiddenPersonGroup").value + "," + ui.item.PRSG_SK;
$("AssignedPersonGroup").val(this.personGroupID.value + "," + ui.item.DESCRIPTION);
}
}
else {
$("HiddenPersonGroup").val(ui.item.PRSG_SK);
$("AssignedPersonGroup").val(ui.item.DESCRIPTION);
}
return false;
}
If i want to delete the data from text box how can know which value is deleted.

Member 8482949 wrote: But when page is post back I am displaying the previously selected values,
That's the proper behavior of a postback to the server.
If you populate a dropdown or listbox on the server side, the server maintains the list of values, and expects the same list of values to postback, with one of them having the selected attribute.
You can alter the contents of an edit box, for the server does not care what value is returned on postback.
If you don't like the behavior, then populate the dropdown box using JQuery when the DOM is ready, and take the selection and copy it into a edit box, then post the page back using the edit box for the value.
Also, a web service uses the asmx extension, and not the aspx extension. The wrong mime type may produce strange behavoir.

I have a flash page(URL) that has a product image and some text like color,category,price etc.I would like to know how to get data (image & all the data associated with product) from a Flash website into a file (may be excel, access, flat, csv, xml...etc).

Good Luck on that, I don't think Google can even do it, otherwise all the images in a flash file would be available in Google Images.

It's been my experience that you can do almost anything you want to SQL Server by sending TSQL to it. So you just need to write your TSQL, and send it like you normally do for other tasks.
So you gather your data parameters like date and time, and just send it to SQL Server via TSQL.

Kindly find the below doubt and do his needful on the earliest of tomorrow..... Thx
Make a simple Web form for registration of students and courses. The form should accept first name, last name, faculty number, university (drop-down list), specialty (drop-down list) and a list of courses (multi-select list). Use the appropriate Web server controls. After registration you should display summary of the entered information as formatted HTML. use dynamically generated tags (h1, p, …).
