Thank you venkatesh. it is working after i changed the framework version. But the pages developed in v1.1 are getting affected. is there any way to migrate the complete project from lower version to higher one. And also i have developed a new project in v2.2 but dll files are not got created. They were in bin directory in the previous version. But anyway it is working in local system. but when i put that in server it will not. is this is because of dll files. Can u tell me what i need to do to make it work?

The files in v1.1 will work in 2.0 framework. But use web.config created in 2.0 framework. If you want to migrate a whole project, just open it in VS 2005 which will open the Migration Toolkit.

Just publish the website. You will get the required files and binaries (.dll)

Hi Developers
I'm developing an Affiliate Program. Well I'm getting unique clicks from an affiliate by "IP Address" ie Unique IP ---> Unique Click. Please let me know is it the way to get unique clicks or I need to do something else....
Lets work it Out.........!

Im not sure if this method works right. Most ISP's hide a lot of user's behind one public IP. The IP gets Natted in and out of the ISP's network.
The HttpRequest.UserHostAddress returns the IP of the last server in the chain. It could be a proxy, a NAT or just a intermediate server.
If you're looking for every unique session, just use the Session_OnStart in global.asax. Or if you want to capture every unique user, even though he may have multiple sessions open, you have to dig deeper into the Request object and try a combination of members.

SG

In ASP.NET each request is executed in a separate thread. That means that requests from different users may be handled simultaneously in separate threads. This in turn means that any resource that you share between requests have to be thread safe (or made thread safe by using locking).
You can also use the classes in the System.Threading namespace to start separate threads that run independently from the threads that handle requests.

i use form fields validation thru java script for ASP.NET prog..
if client validation fails i need to display error message in designated error label control.this same error label also used in server side validation also. this is mandatory.bcause i should use only one error label. what is problem in this validation is when try to display error message in label control ,execution automatically come to server side. further statements in javascript function doesnt execute.
if i use two different labels means it works fine
if i use one label for both validation it doesnt work ,but this shoud be madatory.

How do you set the error message in the label from JavaScript? Try using innerHTML.
|
|
|

yes i am using innerHTML .if i have two different label control for server side and client side , then works fine
but my requirement is there should be one error label for both Client Side && Server Side.but wont work , if i try to display using javascript automatically goes to server side .no further execution in client side validation
