@companyname varchar(120) is the parameter which value will be sent by the user input.
declare @companyname varchar(120) is the variable declared inside the procedure.
if you are passing some arguments in the procedure, then you will never
needed it to redeclare.

Variables are declared in the body of a batch or procedure with the DECLARE statement and are assigned values with either a SET or SELECT statement.
While @companyname varchar(120)
When we pass parameter in Procedure Then we stored them that parameter through Addparameter function.

Hi All,
I have a Master Page view LoginView Control on it, in LoginView I have <loggedintemplate> tags and whole site (HTML, Controls, ...) is place between this tags. But the problem is that I cant reach non of them from the code. For example: I have menu with id "Menu1" adn when I type
Menu1.
and press CRTL+SPACE nothing happends at all, only control which is visible from master page is LoginView.
How to make other to be reachable too?

Hi, In my application i have a gridview for whose columns i'm using templatefields
<asp:TemplateField HeaderStyle-CssClass="templateHeaderStyle" HeaderText="<%$ Resources:Resource, AT_JobID_Text %>" SortExpression="JOB_OID" >
here if i give 'SortExpression', then the column header gets underlined...I dont want it like that, the underline must be seen on hover of the mouse on the header...the sorting is also required...
how to accomplish this..
could anyone please tell me?

i have stylesheet for it:

If i remove 'SortExpression' from:
<asp:TemplateField HeaderStyle-CssClass="templateHeaderStyle" HeaderText="<%$ Resources:Resource, AT_JobID_Text %>" SortExpression="JOB_OID" >
then the underline for column header doesn't come...but then sorting doesn't work....
i need it to sort the column based on "JOB_ID"...how do i do it?

Sir,
I think you need to invert the order of your result set then...
ORDER BY Fieldname DESC
This will make sql sort the result set descending on field Fieldname and then pick the top 5 (which is then the latest 5)

my problem is:
I have four texboxs
1.company name
2.url
3.category
4.description
5.fileupload
here ,i wrote the storedprocdure the users entered the company one time only
next time he entered same comapany the "you have already uploaded the logo for this comapny" this text is displayed
but i entered next time i got error like this
"Cast from type 'DBNull' to type 'String' is not valid"
plz help me

the value (which can be also NULL) from the database to a function, which accepts a string, then you will get such an error.
Cast from type 'DBNull' to type 'String' is not valid.
To get this working you will have to pass the value as an object. That means the function must simply accept it as an object instead of a string.
