If you r writing this code in asp.net, so due to security reason this will not done, u have to use impersonation or check authentication mode.

and

First one is Ok.

The second one can be used only in context databinding expression ( <%# .. >), but that's it. It's ASP.NET sugar, nothing else. Under the hood, ASP.NET will generate exactly the same code. See this excellent blog post[^] for more details.

Second one is also valid method. I used this methods many times in my application.

Hi All,
I have created a ASP.NET WebApplication .Is it used to upload files.
Sometimes We have to upload 30MB files using my WebApplication.BUT I am getting errors like "TimeOut Error " and "Page not found " Errors when uploading files.
So How do I avoid above errors and upload files successfully?

For that you need to mae certain changes in web.config
add
<httpRuntime executionTimeout="600" maxRequestLength="409600"/>
in the <system.web>

I have a textbox,
in which i want to display user's date of birth.
For user's convienience i want to display mm/dd/yyyy in that textbox.
when the focus reaches the textbox that mm/dd/yyyy shud b erased and user will type hi/her date of birth how to do this

Don't directly ask code have you tried by searching on the web or by putting some efforts to do it ...
Any way for textbox give the default text as dd/mm/yy now
when user clicks the textbox call the javascript function function means on Focus event
Now check get textbox value and check the value if it is of type dd/mm/yy clear the value
First try this if you got any problem then reply to this post
