At least for Windows 10 Pro x64 client, if the guest OS is Windows, the better choice might be built-in Hyper-V, everything is already there and we might believe Microsoft runs Microsoft better than VBox.
If you run Linux Guest, VBox is definitely better, much better.
p.s. If you have Hyper-V enabled then VBox will only allow 32 bit guest OS, to run 64 bit guest you need to disable Hyper-V by running:
bcdedit /set hyperwisorlaunchtype off

Congrats on your debut on CodeProject, nice article, but I'm missing some information about licensing issues when using Windows.
It's a difficult subject, see: What Microsoft won't tell you about Windows 7 licensing | ZDNet[^]
As far as I know you are not allowed to use more than one copy of Windows at the same time, not on a physical machine and not on a virtual machine.
An exception would be if you have an MSDN subscription, then you can use special Windows images with multiple license keys.

If he didn't mention Licensing issues, then he is not trying to mention it. That leaves the reader to make judgement. And it is more to do with Disk2VHD rather than VBox.

I must disagree, now readers might get the impression that it is legal to make VM's with Disk2VHD and run multiple copies of the same Windows simultaneously, sadly this is not legal except for "multiple license" versions of Windows.
