Very nice job! I was looking a few months ago for a free control that provided this functionality, but was not successful. Thank you for providing this awesome control and mostly for making it available for FREE!
i mean some features that causes the tree too look acceptable in right to left language like persian, arabic hebru and so on.
i contains images, lines, text direction and so on.
the microsoft built in tree doesn't contain any of these.
tnx for reply
since i don't know anything about persian, arabic hebru, nor any right-left languages... could you give me some examples how the tree would look like if a right-left language speaker feels good? could you draw a picture or something like that?
First of all this is a very nice control.
My tree is built based on the db values and I was trying to figure out how we can update the database when we drag and drop the tree node. Is there an event that we can use to get the Old Position - Parent Node and new position Parent Node.
I checked demo1 and could not find the event where I can get both the old and new node values in the code behind.
In demo9 I could find some information about it but it is fired on the button_click event
I would like to know if there is a event that I can use to update the database when I use Drag-Drop of the nodes.
There's no event fires on drag and drop. This function can be added in the future release but I don't think it's a good idea that a postback is performed each time the user drag&drop a node because the user may perform many drag&drop actions before he wants to save.
And I wonder if the solution like demo 9 can fit your situration? My original thought is that we save all the changes to database in a "Save Button".
Please let me know if there's anything unclear, thanks.
Congrats for stating a really non-relevant fact in a sample of code that the its only purpose is to illustrate the use of a control. Your vote of 1 for such hard work matches the index of your cognitive abilities.
For the author, this is an excellent piece of work. Your decision to make it available for free and your commitment in creating a web site for samples of the control is incredible. You have my recognition and my respect.
