I'm sorry but Sci-Fi movies (and cult horror movies) are, like coffee, part of the coder's support package.

If you stick to the strict definition, SW is fantasy, not sci-fi. Being set in space doesn't make it sci-fi. It's got more in common with the traditional fantasy genre. Trying to retcon midichlorians into the story 4 movies into it doesn't make it sci-fi either.
That was news to me back in the day when it was first explained to me, but in hindsight, that's absolutely correct.

Well, my point was not about my likes and dislikes.
I really like almost all Sci-Fi movies.
My point was to which forum should we discuss them.
Probably, you would not like to post Java questions in .net forum or vice versa.
We have regulated many off-topic articles/forum messages in codeproject very strongly.
But survey related to movies got different opinions.

I have fond memories of 'A New Hope'; I took my girlfriend to see it. Drove an about an hour to get to the theater, waited about an hour to get to the sales window and ended up watching some movie involving the French foreign legion. 
When I finally saw it, I sat through the movie 3 times - long before reserved seating. It was the best (non-horror) SyFi movie of its time - despite the subpar acting. I waited to watch the next one in the series until people stopped camping out around the block waiting to see it.

I grew up with the original trilogy, but I voted Rogue One.
I was really pleasantly surprised by that one AND it answers some questions I've had since I was a little kid 
The originals were awesome, especially in their day, but I don't want to get stuck in the past.
Also, I liked the prequels (and loved the game Star Wars Episode I: Racer - Wikipedia[^]).
I havent seen Solo and Episode IX (yet), but so far I'm not fond of the sequels (I mean VII was just A New Hope remastered, but worse)

Honestly, out of everything, the Mandalorian and the Clone Wars cartoon are my favourite (when in rome, add a U) parts of the Star Wars universe. Cool fact, lots of scenes in the Mandalorian were shot in front of a huge LCD screen.
