Completely overrated product. Prefer my HTC Titan running on Windows Phone.

...which leads me to ask, where is Apple's market? Why are we so different?

Well, many function that are available today for phones or for windows are invented by apple.
We are so different, because we are "Microsoft Developers" and some here in CP think that if microsoft released sh*t it must be gold (like ribbon bar or windows 8 or ms-Surface).

An obvious answer would be market saturation; those with iPhones are already happy and don't feel a need to upgrade.
As for me, I feel Apple's business practices are unfriendly both to developers and users and so I won't buy their products (e.g. Apple's restrictive app rules and ability to reject apps for almost any reason; their lawsuits against Samsung et al; the fact that their Chinese workers are far underpaid while iPhones have far higher profit margins than products from any other manufacturer... oh yeah, and I don't think eliminating buttons is the answer to every UI design problem )
Oh yeah, and The CP has more Microsofties than your average developer site, doesn't it?

Surely you jest? Most of the twits on this site can't see the forest for the trees - they think the smartphone market is driven by hardware specs alone.

Personally i think i phone is not as innovative and glamorous as it pretends to be.
It the marketing and belief of people who think owning an iphone is style statement.
Windows Phone seems much better than iphone anyways.
i am Eagery waiting for Microsoft Surface pro as well

Well said.
BTW, it is "eagerly waiting" not "Eagery".

it's odd how so many Apple-haters are capable of reading the minds of people they have never met.

I have a HTC Titan now (HTC Ultimate, in Brazil) and I'm only switching it to another phone with WP8, hopefully Nokia. Also, some day I'll buy a Windows 8 tablet to get most out of WP8.
As a user, I love WP OS. As developer I love C#, and I'm not buying an ultra-expensive Mac just to develop for a platform. I find iPhone very nice, but Objective-C language is unpleasant to my eyes.
There's no free lunch. Let's wait for the dinner.

Agree with everything you said - Obj-C sucks, Apple is overpriced, however they were able to create a market that MS just trying to penetrate with Win8. Money talk and I would not ignore iOS. With any luck may be we can cover both
