Enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer.

Experience working in a multinational and multidisciplinary environment with involvement in all stages of the software development process. Supportive and reliable team player with a strong aim towards software quality and customer satisfaction. Fast and eager learner.

His passion for programming can be traced back to his pre-professional days. Where, even as an elementary school student he could be found on the computer creating computer games. The reason? There is just no feeling like being able to think something up, create it, and then see others enjoy it.

Outside the office, he's a contributor to the Code Project and there is always a project he's working on. When he's not coding he likes to make and edit video’s, can discuss theoretical physics for hours and if you challenge him to a board game, he won’t say no. He can also frequently be found in the gym and travels when he can.

Michael Churchman started as a scriptwriter, editor, and producer during the anything-goes early years of the game industry. He spent much of the ‘90s in the high-pressure bundled software industry, where the move from waterfall to faster release was well under way, and near-continuous release cycles and automated deployment were already de facto standards. During that time he developed a semi-automated system for managing localization in over fifteen languages. For the past ten years, he has been involved in the analysis of software development processes and related engineering management issues. He is a regular Fixate.io contributor.

I've spent the last 15 years working with the latest technologies and in both my own start-up companies, SMEs and large publicly traded companies. My previous software company for which I was both co-founder and C.T.O. was acquired in 2015 and since then I've been working with the latest technologies such as advanced Machine Learning (e.g. Google's Tensorflow), Computer vision (e.g. OpenCV), IoT (e.g. Arduino, RPi) and Crypto-currencies (e.g. BitCoin, Ethereum).

I mix knowledge of the latest technologies (Blockchain, Docker, etc) with deep experience on traditional and modern databases (Relational, Non-relational, document store, column databases, etc) and cloud deployment, architecture and infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, etc)

I currently work as a freelance software consultant (dock.ie)

P.S. Looking for partnership and cooperation in outsourcing.
