I don't know how long you keep these statistics for but I'd quite like to see back in time a little further than the 5 weeks you currently show, especially for my first article that I submitted back in 2006 (yeah I know I'm probably asking too much there).
Anyway, it could be interesting, maybe even useful to see which articles are now past their 'use-by-date', which ones could do with a little refreshing, and which ones are just true classics that never go out of style.
I just love Koalas - they go great with Bacon.

Hi there
Im using IE6
In the main menu, the options should be clickable in the whole row and not only the text
This works fine in firefox, but with IE6 only the text is clickable
For example: Messege Borads > ASP.NET

Therein lies the problem.
IE6 lays things out inconsistently and I have not yet worked out how to make the whole row clickable without the use of Javascript. We - along with many other companies - are dropping support for IE6 so I removed these IE6 specific workarounds to minimise the code we had to maintain.
Unfortunately all I can suggest is to ditch IE6 if at all possible. It's a terrible browser.

I couldn't help but notice that the VS 2010 sticky in the lounge is filled with referral links. I have no problem with that at all - we all need to eat - except for transparency.
I would much rather a statement was included that made it clear CP stands to benefit from those links - and again, I've no problem with CP benefiting from commercial transactions - rather than that slight of hand.
And anyway, a far more effective technique of gaining advertising would be for you guys to post, article up and otherwise disseminate your experiences of VS 2010. I think the CP populace would find commentary on how VS 2010 helped or hindered a big website, such as CP, more than interesting.

Tracking, not referral, and they aren't for advertisers, they are for us.
We did our VS 2010 tech summit, we're doing competitions, next week is a survey, and we have plenty of paid advertising - all focussed around Visual Studio 2010. The question came up, though: how many members are actually interested in it? Not "interested in clicking on a sponsors ad", or "interested in our tech summit", but "interested enough to learn more about VS 2010". I'm just genuinely curious as to whether people are burned out and VS 2010 is a Vista-sized yawn or whether there's actual interest in these types of announcements.
So I figured I should actually watch and see.
If this weirds you out then I'll whack a note on the links: "Link clicks will be counted because I'm too curious for my own good" or something.

In some threads with a lot of levels and branches, I'm having a hard time figuring out which of my posts a response was to. (Does that mean I post too much?)
If you could put tree view type lines between the connected posts, it would help, though I suspect it would be hard, giving the varying spacing.
Another suggestion is a 'Replied to' link that takes you up one level on the thread.

This has been requested before, but has always been shot down due to the bandwidth costs of downloading all the images.
Perhaps it could be done using (checks buzzword of the day) html5?

Actually it can, and that's the plan. The Canvas element in HTML5 makes this a lot leaner and meaner - better than pulling in images and a ton of markup to hold them.

How about this: turn the message icon (general, news, question, ...) into a hyperlink that opens up the parent message.
Alternative: add a widget next to the pin.

Possibly a personal opinion, but on my PC the line wrapping in this message looks wierd (inside the <pre> tags and in the editor.
Admittedly not a serious error compared to the current spam storm, but still something I thought I should flag (probably because I'm an unforgiving pedant  ).

I did that on purpose because IE is stupid and was not allowing me to set scrolling correctly unless we moved to fixed width columns.
I'm still toying with that one...
