As Richard said, I trust the criteria of many reporters. I still check myself when I have the opportunity.
I do trust too, that in case of wrong reporting the OP will edit the message to remove the link, so that a false positive doesn't gets in the "Still alive" list. And if I see that there is one I get it out of the list and search the previous places to remove the links and ask CP staff for a wipe of the reports.
I do question reports when I can check and I am not sure about it. I tell others to remove links or I do it myself when it is not clear enough. I do summon Sean or Chris when there are doubts to get an "official" statement. I have reported several bugs / done several suggestions to improve the process.
But there are times when errors still happen. I have wrongly reported a couple of users along the time myself and when someone told me / the situation was clarified, I apologized publicly in the forum and to the concrete user.

Delete does not work.
I suspect that this has been mentioned multiple times so far.
I tried to delete a question, but there is no delete button for a question. So I just edited it to say that it was deleted and removed all of the question body.
I tried to delete a comment, but it stayed up for days undeleted. So I edited it to say that it was deleted and left it at that.
I am posting this in the "Rant" section, though it is not really a rant since I understand that other people have their own reasons for doing things however they do things.
Delete does not work.

The ability to delete depends on your membership level. Certain site protectors have the ability to delete content while other members don't. This is largely done to prevent someone who is new to the site from running rampant and deleting content all over the place.

It looks like everyone was on vacation yesterday and that for articles that would be included in the Daily Build
- the authors didn't submit anything new or update old articles
- or the moderators didn't approve any of the submitted articles
As a result, there wasn't any content for the newsletter, and it wasn't sent.
I've only seen this once before, several years ago during the Xmas break.
It was a beautiful holiday weekend here in Toronto, and I know I didn't touch my computer.
