I just noticed that I get no editor points when editing a questions/answer as the first one, only when the question/answer has been changed already are the point given.
By design or bug?

Depends on the thingie you are editing. When I remember right you have to change 10 % of the content to get the editor points...

No matter how many changes I make I never seem to get the points, however even the most minor change (correcting spelling one word) on a question/answer already changed before do give the points.

I am writing a few articles on how to install a portable WAMP stack (without XAMPP or the like), and would like to suggest a new section like "Web Development --> Server Setup" or a "Portable Development Environment" section.
The actual suggestion came from a reply to one of my posts in The Lounge (too lazy to look it up, busy worrying about a very sick cat of mine).

It happens sometimes. Usually if you re-report, it is successful.

I'm seeing certificate errors when using the popup login control. I'm on IE8 but I don't suppose that makes any difference, at least it shouldn't. It even claims the site certificate belongs to GoDaddy, go figure

Got in without the errors today so hopefully this is fixed. Thanks to whoever did that, give the appropriate hamster some extra PCB to nibble on my behalf.

When the amount of bookmarks rise one starts to lose the overview.
I'd like to be able to add my own personal tags/comments about the article/post so that I can find what I'm looking for faster.
It happens that I bookmark an article for the way it solves a problem rather than the problem it solves, and then the article title would be misleading when I later search for it.
Ordering by these tags would also be a nice feature.

On the Search Page, you can select 'My Bookmarks' (on the left side of the page) to limit the searches to what you have bookmarked. You can search on content, tags, etc. Clicking on a tag or a category will add that as a filter.

I'm aware of this functionality, but it's not always enough.
Say for example i've bookmarked an article because it had a smart alternative to binding. I can't search on binding, because it isn't there. And if I would search on binding I would get every article with a UI.
I'm aware that it would be low priority, but it would be a nifty feature.

There hasn't been much demand for it - which is the reason there isn't a forum for it. If you have articles that you can share on this, I'd love to see it.

Normally, CP used to auto-list the messages in Threaded View and today despite repeatedly setting the 'Threaded View' and updating, it obeys that only for a few minutes and again reverts to this mode.
Any one else facing the issue?

I am confused. I managed to make my own Tip/Trick[^] publicy available without even doing anything  . The only thing I did were some changes in its content and clicking on "Publish" when I was finished. After 2 or three hours the tip was suddenly available and as publisher was my name there[^]. Not that this is critical IMO, but it is strange. Can anyone tell me what on earth I did??
