In this very forum, when I hover over a thread-initiator's name, as well as the profile popup I get a text popup identical to that I'd get on hovering the status icon at the left of the line. [please consider this entry for the mangled English award!  ]
For example, if I hover on Indivara's name on the "Deleted blogs..." message immediately below, I see his profile AND a "Fixed" text popup.

We experienced a temporary SSL outage due to our certificate supplier revoking CodeProject's SSL certificates. We are still waiting to receive a full report from our supplier as to the full circumstances of this SSL outage, but in the meantime if you are experiencing the error "The server's security certificate is revoked" while using our secure pages for modifying your settings, or for logging on, then it is most likely a caching issue.
To clear SSL state open IE, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Clear SSL State
In general, to flush the certificate cache on a machine you use
certutil -setreg chain\ChainCacheResyncFiletime @now

I just looked at that page and the question was in "edit" mode. I added a CR and pressed the update button and it now looks fine. Something very strange going on there.

Not sure if this is a bug, but I think so...
I got an email today saying Simon_Whale commented on my tip/trick: One guideline every VB.NET project should follow![^].
However, when I went to see it I noticed two things. First the new comment layout messed up older comments. The comment I seemingly made to my own tip/trick is actually a reply to the comment below it. This looks like a bug.
Second, Simon_Whale's comment wasn't there. Either he deleted it quite fast after posting it (and there was no obvious reason why he should), or it isn't visible for some reason. I can still see the upvote I got in my rep points, so my guess is I can't see it. Is this a bug or am I looking wrong?

when you click on the voting at the bottom of the tip, if loads a popup windows and I entered the message there. (sorry was feeling too lazy to enter a message that permanently showed up in the trick)

That reminds me... 9 out of 10 times when I use that popup window I get an exception and I've lost my message.
I think it may have to do with the length of the text, because it usually happens when I have actually got something to say

I would like to suggest the use of a more uniform template for the QA forum.
Instead of giving a person free rain on writing what ever they want, they instead would have to fill out a question form. Where key fields are mandatory for question submission.
I think this might alleviate some of the demanding one liners and the like. I have given some thought to this question and I think if you structure the question process more, then everyone benefits in the long run.
Just a thought.

It is becoming tiresome. Whilst I understand that the internet is wild and free and anonymous I'd love for one of these tossers to come and tell me to my face why they downvote. Of course, that can't happen unless they happen to be in LA...

To me thsi is simple: no voting until you've been here 6 months and made n posts and are above water, points wise. All voting requires that the name of the voter be exposed. Problem solved: it'll soon stop spurious voting.
