edit: his router has its admin console thing open to the web and his login/pass are the default admin/admin. He also has telnet and ftp ports open. If this guy is a hacker, he's totally failed.

It's actually not exciting at all.. in the code that he posted (the code without the pre tags...) he left a valid gmail address/password combo. Gmail has that nice "Recent activity" thing which logs the IP address and access type for a couple of successful logins.
There's a small chance that he asked someone else to create a gmail account for him.

Armed with his (probably..) IP address, I used nmap.
nmap found some nice open ports, including http, so I used firefox to take a look.
I found a login prompt for a router, so I tried admin/admin thinking "he couldn't have been that stupid" - he was/is.

That's all.

Oh and I took the liberty of deleting his gmail account. They're free anyway. But maybe it will teach him something. For example, that he's not a real hacker.

Well, thanks for sharing. That was effort made by you investigating Smile | :)

Though, i think the last part wasn't a good idea. It just looks like he is new to internet world(and not a hacker!).

Well, I could write "I'M NOT READING THIS" and have my hands over my eyes but it would come out "S'M MPW GIESFKND HUSF" and the joke, already expiring, would roll over and have all four paws in the air.

Depending on vote a member loses or receives reputation points, I wonder how a vote of 3 is rated.

This is know bug in the forum voting that has just (as in within the last hour) been fixed.

I'll be rerunning the reputation population scripts which will restore any incorrect points.

[Edit: voting of 3 isn't an upvote, and it isn't a downvote. The rep FAQ only lists items for which points are awarded, so the current points system will not award any points for 3 votes]
