I've noticed that when spam questions - usually supplements or "male enhancement" products - get through without being spotted they contain non-link URLs which contain the same site: supplementdealuk dot wordpress dot com
If we blacklist "http:..." and "https:...." so any message containing it goes direct to moderation we can prevent these getting published, and thus from appearing on the front page? All it would take as far as UI is concerned would be a Protector only list edit page to add / remove URLs from the list in the same way that uBlock does for ads?

Just mark them as Spam. After being flagged as Spam a few times, the Spam Filter will learn that these links are associated with Spam and send messages to the Moderation.
The problem with Black Lists is that the Spammers change their urls regularly as they get black listed, so we would have to spend a lot of effort to maintain a Black List.

We do, but the detector doesn't seem to pick up on non-link URLs too well - look at the number of "Spam in QA" reports in the S&A forum.
How about we time stamp them? A black list entry lasts 30 days since it was last seen and is then automatically removed? Anything which makes it harder for them encourages them to move to a more vulnerable site ...

Here: Member questions & answers[^]
According to the list, I posted my answer to "Python convert string and variable to list name" 6 hours ago, which is wrong. If I click on the link, it says "Posted 1hr ago", and that's correct.
[Edit] Probably the same as this bug report[^].

Rep points for posting and being upvoted (and other such things) are often missing. Yeah - I know I've posted about this in the past. Now, however, I realize that I'm specifically targeted.
I can't see anyone else's stuff, mind you, and so, without evidence to the contrary I just assume it's just me.

When I try to vote I received the above message. What do I need to do to get a "confirmed email address"?

I've had another email sent to you. Just click the link in the email to confirm and you'll be good to go.

Try to sign-in in your CodeProject account while the "New Membership" email field is not empty instead contains an invalid email value. The sign-in will not proceed and will ask to correct the "New Membership" email. Since you are an existing user, you won't want to use or correct that field. When you are providing correct details under the "Existing Members" form, then clicking the sign-in button should allow successful login and ignore the email value in "New Membership" email field.
Here are the steps to reproduce the above issue.
1 - Go to the sign-in page on the code project site.
2 - The page will have two forms - one for "Existing Members" and other for "New Membership".
3 - Provide an invalid email value under the "New Membership" email field.
4 - Provide correct details under the "Existing Members" email and password fields.
5 - Click on the "Existing Members" sign-in button.
6 - It'll not log in and ask to correct the "New Membership" email.

The home page is currently showing my new tip as posted five hours ago:
It's currently 12:17, and (according to Chrome history) I posted it at 11:38.
If I've invented a time machine, I'd have thought I would have had much better uses for it than that...

Maybe Time Zone problems?
I mean, it takes your time zone publish time, but it compare with server current time? or something similar?

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

I think I know what the issue is: it's the time formatting of the new Follow system you're testing that's not handling the GMT offset correctly (ironic given I don't think you have an offset). Thanks mate. Not tonight though: too much celebratory imbibing going on to code safely.

0) I edited a handful of articles, but they didn't should up on the CP home page like they used to. Did y'all turn this off?
1) I made the edits about three hours ago, and I didn't get any rep points. Again, did y'all turn this off?

Ah, right.
You don't get points for minor edits, and your article will only show up as updated if you check the "Mark as updated" box near the "publish" button.

What qualifies as a not-minor edit?

If the total of the changes is more than 10% of the original text then it's non-minor.

A user asked a question in QA and reposted it as an article. On top of the article in moderation it reads
Quote: This is a new version of the currently published question.
|
|
|
|
|
I was gonna ask the same. This is quite unclear, because the label "published question" suggests that this was intentional.
Maybe, after approval it would go back to Questions as approved. But I am not going to touch any moderation in this one.

Where did you see the link to this item? Was it in the QA homepage, but on clicking it you went to the article display page? Or was the link on the site's homepage itself?
