Chris,
Have you ever thought of keeping an upcoming feature list (Maybe even prioritized ... with estimated dates ) on the site somwhere, so people know what features are in the works?
If you want to go above and beyond you could even let people vote to help prioritize them. Yeah that would be cool!
By the way everything seems to be at about the same speed it used to be at before the switch, but sometimes it used to be bogged down and I have not noticed it happening since the overhaul.
for you!

Nah. We like the surprises.
Besides, we'd only bitch if the features never got implemented on time. With CP, we'd become like our own users. Never satisfied

I was wondering. I post questions on here alot and find the resources very useful. In any event, lets say i post a message how to program in c++. I go up to the top where it says search and select authors and type in my screen name. I can't find the message that I typed. I'm assuming the search only works for articles submitted. Is there a way to search the message boards for posted messages because sometimes I don't get an email indication that someone has replied to my message? If its not possible could this be implemented in a later update of the site?

Ok evidently I'm doing something wrong. I went to the search comments that I beleive you are speaking of. Its right next to set options. In any case, I click on it then in the keyword field I type in Win32newb. I always get no results and I know I always put my name in my post. Or is it only search for the title?

Go to your profile entry and click the link to "Messages Posted" below your status. This gives you a date-sorted list of posts you have made, and displays the Subject line for each post. That should make it easy to locate any discussion you contributed to.

If I'm just an idiot who's missed this, please point me in the right direction. But I think there should be an easy way on the sight like on tek-tips.com to just view 'My Threads' regardless of which forum they're in. Also, I put the following question into 'General Discussions' forum, but maybe you can help me with this also:
I made the mistake of selecting 'Show it' when I submitted my first question to a discussion group on MSDN.Microsoft.com and have since been getting spam, people trying to send me viruses. I read the 'More about email and privacy' after it was too late. Is there a way I can remove my posts so I don't have to keep getting these mails?
Thanks,
If it's broken, I probably did it

When you are logged in, Click on your name/login name in the box at the top left of the page. Then Click "Messages Posted" - This gives a list of the last 200.

Hi, I am sorry that this is going to be more like a complaint not a suggestion. I didnt know how to contact you (Chris) but i know these messages goes into ur inbox.
Any ways.
I wrote a small application that downloads the RSS Feed from the following link.
http://www.codeproject.com/webservices/latest.asmx/GetLatestCommentsBrief?NumMsgs=??
Everything is working fine, the list of messages are shown in the listbox that i am populating.
But the data that is fetched is not consistent, I dont know the logic behind how the XML data is generated.
1. It only shows top 10 message thread.
2. It does not show messeages that are replied to old thread that is no more in the top 10.
3. Messages from soapbox, general discussion is not shown.
4. Messages from forum of the articles are shown (fine with this)
Over all my conclusion is that the XML RSS Feed is only a "Random data". One cannot totally rely on this feed to view the message titles offline.
Ok, May be i am wrong or i didnt understand the concept of RSS Feed. But this is my conclusion.
Sorry if I was rude somewhere....

Would it be possible to add a direct link to reply to a message in the notification email? Many times, the message fits in the email so I've already read it and just hitting a link to reply would be great.

A minor suggestion, Chris...
When reading an article I usually skim it, then crawl back to the top and download the files if I have an immediate need for it, then return to study it in detail and post a comment. This brings me back to the top of the page; from there I have to scroll back to the bottom of the page if I want to rate it. It would be handy to have a rating control at the top of the page, in addition to the one at the bottom.
