Would it be possible to have an option to search top level posts?
Would make it much easier to find threads a few days back, and without the clutter created by many replies.

If you vote on a post and then return to it later it would be nice if it said "you voted 5" rather than displaying the option to vote again and they telling you that you cant vote twice.

I think this will lead to performance issue on the database.

Generally I like the new layout, but it would look even more cooler if you'd use some gradients, especially at the top of the page. The green row would look good as a light-green to normal-green gradient bar. The orange bar above it could also be a gradient, from light-orange to the darker one. The gradients should look "blending", like the task bar of the Windows XP Media Center theme (Royale).
Additionally the orange bar on the very left should be a lighter orange. Like the one in the forums.

It would be nice for authors to be able to know the last time their article was viewed and rated, in /articles/list_articles.asp . It would help authors decide which articles may be worthy of an update. Obviously not critical, but a nice-to-have.
Thanks,

I was thinking I could put the last viewed time on the article itself. It'd save a whole lot of processing and storage...

The timestamps could be stored (and displayed) wherever appropriate, but imho should prolly be displayed only for the author, a la the "Modify article" and "Delete article" links.
Thanks,

You need to be more blunt. Go out and make a "last viewed" timestamp for the article list (implemented entirely in client-side JS, of course), then come back and report it done...

I just want to note that I don't receive them anymore. The check-box is always checked. Others are experiencing the same problem.

Yes. At least until I delete all messages posted years ago by those not logged in. Which won't happen.
So: yes

How about one? I know this is an IT forum, but we could always add algorithms and stuff into it. Now where's that begging icon?

I've never done any serious numerical analysis programming, but I'd love to read about it. (As well as other related topics)

Article pages need to have a slight vertical margin in order to separate the article content from the LHS skyscraper, much like the home page.

Whenver I refresh the lounge I see the time since a specific post was posted. Kinda cool. I quickly glanced at the source and didn't see any JS code for it so I wondered if it was done server-side and if it was, could it be moved to client-side? I would imagine it could save some processing on the server. (Especially, with as much as I hit refresh).
Of course if it is done on the client, I just didn't see it (not ilke I looked to hard).

It would be nice to have the bookmarked count displayed (perhaps near the viewed count) for articles that have been bookmarked by at least 1 user.
Would also be nice to have a section specific (i.e. MFC/C++, C#, ASP.NET, .NET and VB.NET) "most bookmarked" articles table displayed at the home page.
Thanks!

It would be great if the alt text of Question Time links displayed the author's name. Thanks!

I think that having a category for SharePoint would be cool. Right now people post SharePoint articles in some random category like C# or .NET, but it would be nice to have a central list of SharePoint articles.
