Unfortunately, I didn't look for any Javascript errors.
I tried a couple of times now, but wasn't able to reproduce it. Mind you, this is the first time I've ever seen that bug.
However, I can tell you the exact sequence of steps that led to the discovery.
1. Got an email notification about a reply to one of my posts.
2. Clicked on link which took me to the page in the Lounge with the reply post selected.
3. Hit the 'previous' link to read some other stuff.
4. Hit 'back' in the browser to go back to the page I first visited. At this point, the reply was selected (i.e., viewable) as usual.
5. I clicked on some other post, and though it was expanded, the original post was still expanded as well.
HTH.
Cheers,
Vikram.

Hii,
How about to start a DotNetNuke forum? People are amazingly attracted towards this. I am experiencing DNN site myself and sometimes finding help is quite difficult. What do you guys think?

I would be very surprised if there isn't one already. Just not on this site. Probably on one of those DotNetNuke sites.

I'm using FireFox on redHat Linux. When I click on "Lounge" or select a shortcut from "Question Time", the page I got only shows a "Dundas" ads, nothing else. It navigates well if select from 'Message boards" drop-down menu.
Best,

Why?
Either the ASP.NET or Web Development forums cover this topic very well.

But anyway this is suggestion and you are the best person to judge...

I'm in the habit of deleting my CP messages, sometimes, whenever I see them and just clicking on my message posted links to see who's replied, and unfortunately, I sometimes delete Email responses. Is there a way we could make Email responses stand out? Also, any chance we can move the Email link as far away from Reply as possible? I'm wondering if some users are clicking on the wrong link accidentally.

Hi,
IMHO, many articles are somehow formated very poorly so that they are far far to wide.
While I have a hi-res monitor, I really don't want to have to max the window and/or scroll to see the text of the article. Sadly, the articles text does not auto-wrap, but rather remains very wide in some articles. I really think that they should be formated in a way so as to respect the size of the window they are displayed in, and wrap.

Is there an easy/best way to print all the comments for an article?

It is possible to have the letters counter for the signature working with FF on the "My Settings" page? Without it, the message can be cut without the author knowing it.

Are messages posted in the Java forum intentionaly not added to a user's posted messages page for others to see? I guess I have to start bookmarking it.

Hello
There is a bug in the notification script!! People reply to my messages in the C# forum but I don't receive any emails telling me so. My inbox is working fine, and I'm receiving emails from other people including the insider -too bad Jordon is gone!!-, but no notifications!!
Also, some replys were posted to a message 24th Aug, and I received the notification only two days ago??
What's wrong? Anyone with the same problem??
Regards

May be due to heavy traffic the emails are delivered bit late.

Hello
While browsing the articles section you have a javascripted menu to the left which could expand into subtopics for each major language. While browsing the forums or answering someone, sometimes I need to copy a link or directly jump to a subtopic. For example I'm telling him to read the articles in the multimedia section. I'm forced to make a new window, go to the articles section and then expand the menu to the left -in this case General C#-, then copy the link to the multimedia section.
To the top left there is another menu which leads to the main page of each language. Why not expanding it when MouseOver, to include subtopics of each language, so that when I'm replying to someone, and I want to jump -or refer- directly to a subtopic, I don't have to go through all this?
Regards

Well, that's one possibility.
FWIW, BO have their own forums[^] for Crystal Reports. No promises you'll get an answer there, but at least you'll probably find a few people who don't overuse therapy and chemicals in a futile attempt to blot out all memory of CR...

Is there a bug in message board voting (particularly in the Lounge), where a post can get multiple votes from a user or where one vote is recorded as several.
I've seen a lot of posts recently where the number of votes is high compared to the average.
The rating (currently 4.0) and number of votes of "this programming question"[^] seems a little high.
I'll dig out the other "suspect" examples if you need further info

I was wondering about that as well, there are a number of posts with an abnormally high vote count.
I'd love to help, but unfortunatley I have prior commitments monitoring the length of my grass. :Andrew Bleakley:

There seem to be lots of users who'd rather create a new thread each time they ask another question, rather than just replying to their existing thread
i.e. "How do I do XYZ?"
"XYZ won't work"
"HELP ME PLS!"
"How do I make XYZ work?"
They either don't think about using their existing thread, or think they're more likely to get an answer if they post again. I'm not sure about the solution to the latter, but it might help if the post window listed a user's last 5 threads in the current forum, and had a "post in existing thread" option, with something red telling them it'd be a good idea if they're asking for clarification on an existing topic.

There are times where usefull information are there in forum replies like in lounge for usefull software and stuff,
It would be nice if that reply or the thread can also be book marked.
I am not sure if anything similar is already available.
Thanks.
