That should be part of the specifications, the code comments, and the documentation. Are you hesitating which one to look in to?
WHY is the question that deserves most attention in documentation, it helps avoiding to make the same mistake over and over, as well as changing back and forth between alternatives.

Nope didn't hesitate to look at the code. Surprised we aren't perfect? It's sometimes hard to ensure every last piece of functionality is fully documented when dealing with large volumes of change requests.

If you enter the Jobs area via the Latest Jobs link, the FAQ & Pricing link is broken.
Sometimes you get a simple "Page Not Found" and others you get a "Page Not Found - The Most Likely Page your are looking for is....."
Update: Also the FAQ & Pricing link doesn't work from the dropdown menu either.

I keep seeing the following error
"-- Unable to load messages due to high load. Please try again --".
In fact, I've been getting it since morning - missed out on the CCC because of this error.
(not that I would have got the CCC anyway - but still....)

I think the listing of tips/tricks within the articles list may be giving the reader unreasonable expectations.
I noticed that a tip I posted here[^] yesterday has received an unexpected and unexplained number of low votes.
AFIK the tip is accurate and I have linked to a source (Luc's site) where further information is available.
I know it's no article, that's why I posted it as a tip. I also realise it's not unique code, but that doesn't make it any less valid or a useful thing to have in the tips section IMO.
I'm not asking for anyone to explain the voting habits of unknown members, I just suspect that the cause of the low votes may be people browsing articles and expecting more than just a few LOC.
If I have misunderstood the purpose of Tips/Tricks then please let me know!

Just had a similar thing: posted a rather trivial tip/trick that does what it says on the tin and got what I would consider a low vote without any explanation as to what was wrong with the code in question or why it was, apparently, a poor tip. Bit annoying but expected given the current climate around CP these days: getting a 5 for anything is usually only because the serial univoters have a day off.

I hadn't seen your tip before, I read it now and voted 4. It did not deserve what it got so far.
I like the idea, and I have two suggestions for you:
- IMO showing a partial output would increase its appeal;
- duplicating the loop increment isn't looking nice; I trust there must be a more elegant way in SQL, at the least it could be put as the first operation inside the try block.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are correct in every respect: I snapped that off some time ago and, becuase it just works, never gave it another look. Corrected and added some sample output. Well caught.

Technically, the tips aren't listed with the articles. They're in their own tab, and the scores are separate, too.
My tips/tricks get hmmered too. Last week, my average score went for 4.65 to 4.59. Part of the problem is that people aren't yet required to leave a reason as to why they 1-or-2 voted a tipm, so univoters (aka "retards") are free to run rampant through the tips/tricks.
The CP programmers just haven't gotten around to fixing it yet.

Now you're just playing dirty.
I've upgraded this issue to "immediate" status meaning it'll be part of the next development sprint, assuming the current sprint is cleaned out.

You mean "the word"?

I knew it was on the roadmap, and this wasn't a push at you guys to move it up. I was trying to imply that it had been mentioned and that you guys were intending on doing something about it - it was more fun to phrase it the way I did because of "the word".

The tip is excellent, I voted 5. Good content, and a link for more, what else should a tip be?
BTW: the voting pattern is rather remarkable, you've got one of each. And then some fives.
