Go to 'All Message Board Listing' . Scroll to 'General Discussions' section and find 'Hosting and Servers' , the description is misspelled as 'Hsoting and managing server discussions ' , It has to be 'Hosting and managing server discussions'

That's the way they spell "Hosting" in Canada, eh.

Just noticed, thanks to the phantom bookmarker that's out there.
I post or reply in the lounge. I get some debator points.
Someone upvotes it. I get more debator points.
I answer a question in a programming forum. I get authority points.
Some kind (and knowledgeable ) person upvotes it. I get more authority points.
So far, so good...
Someone bookmarks my programming forum answer. I get debator points. WTF????
Cheers,

Yes Chris, Today my 9 messages are bookmarked by some people within 4 hours. Don't know why... because all those messages are almost useless except that soapbox post[^](I know it's also useless one)
Any problem?

What kind of points do you want then? You should be happy you even get points here.

Bookmarking a programming post should give the same sort of points that making or upvoting a programming post gives.

1 point? OK. I still don't see the big deal.

Authority rather than debator.

Now that makes a little more sense to me.

... which is what the bold and italic in my original message was all about.

I'm sorry. People bitch and complain about their rep points all the time here...thought you were being one of those people.

I am a C/C++ programmer and have experience in other languages but I recently began working with Python for a class I am taking. I really like it. It is neat, concise, and rather powerful. I'd like to see something devoted to Python such as a message/discussion board. I currently use IronPython 2.7 with VS integration, which is OpenSource by the way. Are there any other Python enthusiasts out there? (edited) I am such a jackass I never noticed there was a forum already. Thanks anyway.

I played with Python several versions ago, just before they did the complete re-write.
It is very powerful but I, regrettably, have no need for it at the moment.
It's on my, steadily growing, list of things to get round to.

I've been meaning to learn Python and kept putting it off until I finally jumped in. I watched the MIT OpenCourseware Lectures from course 6.00--Intro to Comp Science. I have no real use for it besides just for play but I do enjoy it.

Python programmers are being lumped in with VB programmers right now. Use that forum.
(Just kidding. Don't do that - the VB programmers' little heads will explode.)

Python is so simple even a VB programmer can use it

Would it be possible to have "Next Bookmark / Prev Bookmark" buttons on each forum, that act like the same buttons in VS?

You can't have that AND article download metrics, too. You have to pick one.
