Ok,
So I was reading the Oat Meal's "State of the Web", and inbetween laughing so hard I couldn't see stright and picking myself back up off the floor, I happened to notice that he's offered up the use of his "Tumble Beasts" icons, he originally created for Tumblr.

They do kind of look like little green Hamsters, which led me to post this suggestion: Chris, you need to hook up with this guy and have him do up some CP Hamsters.
Just a thought.

Could we move the Profile popup to the left of the member name? That way it won't almost obscure the name / link and make it difficult to get to the member details. At the moment a right click tends to bring up the image related menu rather than the link related if I don't think about what I am doing.

To me, what was depressing was to see all those otherwise smart people fall for it and reply with sarcasm and ridicule under the assumption that they were responding to a drip who was asking for romantic advice in the wrong forum.

Yes, I found that amazing too, as I had to sift through all the replies to see if someone had sussed him, and it was sad to see how many hadn't.

I did the same, I read every reply to see if at least one person had identified the spamming. Nope, not a single one.

Ah, good to know. So all's not lost, yet!

How clever? I just hit /vote to go/ and left it there.

You're still not clever enough to join the club.

Why not? I'm beating you 80k:70k in pomposity points.

4 years versus 1 year, I'll be more pompous than you in a couple of weeks.

You two, get a room so you can share your pompositousness.

Do you really want an Alien and a Predator breeding with two teenagers?

I identified it as spam, a while after I replied (yesterday). And I marked it as spam, and reported the member in his profile as a spammer too!
But when I saw it today, I reported the message (it was removed immediately), and reported the member too. The member profile is now active; may be the ban-hamsters are busy partying. But they WILL visit him.

Happened to come across a 9 year old post while searching for something else. Apparently it isn't associated with my profile. May not be a bug, just me forgetting to log in. Thought I'd let you know, just in case.

Yes - that post was from a time past. A gentler time where anonymous posting was allowed, even encourage. A time of innocence lost.
So yes, you can vote on it because the system can't definitively say it's you.
Maybe we should open up to anonymous posting again...
