It's either that or under-caffeinated! Not sure which one is worse.
Although, was it just one report that removed the message?
I think computer viruses should count as life. I think it says something about human nature that the only form of life we have created so far is purely destructive. We've created life in our own image.

How do you know it was reported as spam then?

The reputation points show that someone reported it as spam and deducted some points.

So, you post something that gets reported as spam. Remove it and then repost it so that someone can report it as spam again? Very brave.

Actually, when I saw the message I knew I couldn't get to my computer for a couple of days and I wanted to initiate this discussion here. Now if the message was really a spam then by today I would have got a lot of spam reports so I decided to simply delete it from my phone.
Today, I decided to ask others' opinion about the message but couldn't restore the message so I posted it again.

Well my colleagues here think its kinda stupid thing which i did. I am guessing you are also using euphemism for the same.

It doesn't look like spam to me, so I would have left the post there. The assumption here is that the spam vote was a single person being overzealous.

Why do you say it was reported as spam? I can't find any such reports against your post.

That could be because the one reported as spam was deleted by me on Friday. I posted the same message again.

I used the online submission wizard to submit an article - everything looks fine if I click the 'Preview' button. But after the I click the submit button, the images disappear. Additionally, the 'download demo' and 'download source' links stop working.
I uploaded 2 images: unhandledexception.jpg and application.designer.vb.jpg
The article is http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/495208/VB-Net-Global-Try-Catch-in-the-Application-Framewo[^]
According to the wizard, for uploaded images, I should use a relative path of the file. So I tried to do in the html editor, but that didn't work.
I did figure out that if I do: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/Articles/495208/Working/unhandledexception.jpg[^] I get the image to come up in my browser.
I don't want to specify a full image path because I don't think I am supposed to do that...
Anyway help on what I am doing wrong, or if this could be confirmed as a bug would be greatly appreciated!

The article under discussion is here.
I wanted to retrieve the code to use it in a project and found myself unable to do so. Please fix this problem. (I have a backup somewhere, but must I really go search for it? It is supposed to be downloadable from Code Project.)

George

I just tried and it downloaded with no problems.
One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.

I just submitted my first article, an I am having trouble with the download links not working along with the images not working.
If I click the Preview button, the images work as does the download link, but then when I submitted the article the images disappeared and the links did not work...Maybe you are having the same issue I am?

Yes, it does appear to work now. I wonder what the glitch was, previously. Thanks!

Hi,
The code project pages load very fast, but on every refresh there's a really long wait for cdn.lakequincy.com . From a responsive point of view it would be nice if you could check if something can be done for that.
For me the wait time is something like 10-20 seconds after the page has been otherwise loaded. The code project pages themselves are visible in 1 or 2 seconds.

I've passed this on to Matthew to answer.
We don't see this ourselves. Where are you located? Which browser? Do you have any AdBlock software installed?

I was asking what is it for this strage 'frame strategy' of putting all news inside of code project-like page. Oh I understand that you like it (why?).
I can understand you are putting foreign news in that frame but what for you are using this for Discussions or Lounge from you own page?

Hi,
When I read a question or an answer on the Q&A page, then there's a button that allows me to delete questions and answers.
But I don't have a platinum reputation, and the Member Reputation System Page AND the Quick Answers FAQ told me that I need to have a platinum reputation.
But I'm just a gold organiser.
Is it a bug, or need both articles to update?

If I look at the news posts in the news forum there's a link and the ^ link also, so I can keep CP open and read the article in a separate tab / window, which is great since it's not halkf hidden in a frame, but I can't do that from the news links on the home page (yes, I can right click of course).
How about adding the usual ^ link to the home page news posts?

With Win8 now out, I find I am using this as my primary OS (and IE10 as my main browser).
I like how in MSDN I can click "Log In" and it automatically picks up my Microsoft ID and logs me in automatically. Any chance we can link our existing accounts here to our MS ID and have this functionality?

I would navigate the posts via the Ctrl and Arrow keys.
This is no longer working.
Also every time I click on a post the page updates rather than just opens the next post.
It makes it slower, more unresponsive, annoying and harder to use.
Was this deliberate?
