You may have written an article about something that was a problem years ago, and you really don't hink it's worth the time and effort to update it anymore. On the other hand, you don't want to delete it either, because it might be of use to a few people working with older solutions.
In that situation, it would be nice if you could mark your aritcle as outdated/obsolete/deprecated, whatever, so that people reading it would know it. Perhaps a highlighted text at the top saying something like "This is an old article that is no longer being updated by the author. It is left here for reference, and you are still welcome to use the contents according to the attached license"
Just a thought....

Define "outdated/obsolete".
For someone still working on old VS 2003 code, VS 2003 articles are very relevant.
outdated/obsolete are in the eye of the beholder.
Deprecated is different (and potentially obsolete) in that it means it's been replaced by something better. However, if that replacement requires a new version of the target technology to use it, then those stuck on older technology still have need.

What I was really looking for was some kind of way to let the readers know that an article is no longer being updated by the author, but that it is left for the benifit of those who can make use of it (instead of deleted)...

Typically if an author no longer updates an article then they just...wander away. Maybe what you're after is a "hasn't been updated in X years" flag to appear on an articles

Isn't the "Date Last Updated" next to the author's name for the article? It says that when I hover my mouse pointer over the date. However, the words are not there - that might be helpful.

Right now, you have to paste a link, erase out the text, and overwrite it with the article title. I mean, what year is this? 2012? Could your geek team automate it for us please?

Hey Chris,
I meant external URLs. Your auto-title grabber only works for CP links.

Awesome. That worked. Thanks Chris.
I just got back from the movie and am in a state of nostalgia/sadness/depression/awe. Movie was phenomenal!

I spotted that one of my blog items was posted twice, probably by accident, and tried to remove one of them:
http://www.codeproject.com/Members/SAKryukov?msg=5157458#xx5157458xx[^].
It wasn't permanently removed as I wanted.
This is not the only problem. On my first attempt, I tried to remove it when the blog was configured as read-only. After the confirmation, I got a warning about this option, which is irrelevant, because the read-only option is not just "read-only", it's "read-only for non-owners". Moreover, the post wasn't actually removed.

First one: if you paste some HTML with an img tag, the display as preview on the paste options pop up actually displays the image.
Second one: on my iPad with mobile Safari, the menus don't stay oven for very long (about one second). That is quite annoying.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

I get the same on Android / Chrome, but it's easy to work round. Instead of tapping the menu header, I long hold it - which pops up an option to open it in a new tab. I press "back" to cancel the popup, and the menu is now open, and stays open.

Mobile Safari is kind of finicky and closes it instantly if I do that. It also crashes quite often.

But it's an Apple product! I was told (repeatedly) that they have no bugs, will have no bugs, and can never have had bugs!

I was on iOS 8, which was buggier than a termite mound. I am on iOS 9 now and will see how it goes.

Typing (.*) in a QA answer, with
(.*)
in a following code block, results in both "*"s disappearing, and the text between them being shown in italics.
On editing the answer, the preview is shown correctly.
See this answer[^] for an example.

Hi,
The front page hasn't updated with the titles for the latest entries in the lounge/insider news/etc. for at least the last 24 hours.
