After it being this way for about a month, I have concluded that I do not like this. The reason is I have posted a few long replies to questions and received no acknowledgement what so ever that the questioner even saw it. For this reason, I would tend to refrain from answering any more of that users questions. When one does not know who posted the question this is not possible.

OTOH, maintaining a list of users to whom you do not want to answer anymore can become quite annoying
Moderators can see poster's names; you may persist answering/moderating the forum, you will get moderator's rights and be able to see the names.

I am reading through an article and some of the longer code segments are screen shots so I clicked the Browse Code link on the left and the Downloads page loaded. I browsed to the file I wanted and it had line numbers in the code block. It would be nice to have a Copy Code link that would copy just the code to the clipboard without the line numbers. Or perhaps the author pasted in the line numbers? Not sure. But a copy code button would still be nice.
In case it is necessary, it is from here, Downloads: Angular Tutorial - Part 2: Understanding Modules and Controllers[^]

I just checked, line numbers are included by default when you use the "Browse code" functionality.
Thus, these line numbers have not been included by author, they are here no matter the file type.

I see the Copy Code link now which is great. However, maybe I was not very clear in my post. It would be nice to copy without the line numbers. If you then paste the code into your copy of the project from the article you are going through you have to manually remove all line numbers.
Also, all my less than signs came out as &alt; so pasting won't work. Of course a quick find and replace in the app is not too hard.

I suggest newcomer immunity for downvote for either few questions (3 for example) or a minimal score.
I dont see the point of downvoting a new user other then hurting thier feelings and/Or discoraging them from continuing using CP or any other similar form.
We are here to help, nothing else.
I posted this because the main downvoter are CP Experts. they are supossed to be the most comprehensive.

Soooo, if I think your question is poor, I can't downvote it because it might hurt someone's feelings? Believe me, I can do far more damage to the ego with words than I can with a vote button. There's a very comprehensive discussion here[^]. Ultimately, if someone takes the time to follow the guidelines I wrote about over 10 years ago[^], they are less likely to be downvoted, this stuff isn't new.

Actucaly, i am the one who opened the discution you linked. I am not against downvote in general, but against downvoting newcomers. i think that downvoting is not worth it because it can do more harm then good for new members . why not forgive everyone first bads questions ?
If the member have already used CP previously, i myself will downvote if needed.

It depends on what you are watching. Some Forums do not get a lot of new stuff, so the latest may be old.
If you were following a busy(ish) Forum like The Lounge, you would most likely only see reasonably new stuff.

The popup menu when you hover the mouse on your nickname (upper right corner) used to match the left sided menu when you are in the personal profile.
Right now they are not matching anymore, and the "recommendations" is just opening the "your bookmarks" list.
Not sure if it is on purpose.

Also, "My Contacts" appears twice in the left hand menu.
Yes, I know this message is meant for the admins, but this seemed a sensible place to post it.

A stupid question but where can I find the timeline view for the followed items?

The homepage! (Click the "Following" tab under "Filter articles, news and messages")

Feeling really stupid but I'm not sure which tab you're referring to...

Edit:
It looks like the Following tab is automatically selected so that's why I didn't notice it. But if it's selected should I see recent posts from Lounge which I'm following?

don't feel stupid. If something doesn't make sense it's our fault.
Look at the top right of the homepage for discusssions. That should include Lounge stuff

Thanks! Now I got it...
Works like a charm. However if someone follows an active member like OG the space reserved for discussions may run out quickly
