Aah, I see. I thought that button would give me more advanced options, the name is a bit misleading. Maybe it should be 'Apply Options'. But as for my second point about those extra links, it still stands :p

Hello
I thought it might be appropriate to post this here, though it's not a suggestion. It's more likely a question to Chris.
At This Page[^] you enumerate the CP supporters. Yet you don't say how to become one!!
Also I've read about your MVP award, and you never said anything about it.
I'd like to become a CP supporter / editor. So, what should I do -if possible of course-?

You can become a CP Supporter by purchasing the status at $240 USD. Check out CP Store. No clue about how to acquire other titles.
Best,
Jun

In addition to what Jun Du said, MVP is an award issued by Microsoft. Here is a link

Hi,
Recently CodeProject team has changed www.CodeProject.com site layout. It wouldn't be a problem but after the change I cannot see most of the articles without using horizontal scrollbar (display: 1024x768). Also plenty of articles cannot be printed (without truncating) in portrait A4. And this is in both IE and Firefox.
Is it something with my settings or every one else has the same problem too?
Cheers,
Oleg
P.S. I hope CodeProject guys read this post, in case it is a real layout problem.

I just checked these 2 on 1024x768 and neither of them scrolled. I am using IE6.
[edit]Just re-read your post. 1024 x 768 is the minimum resolution we support now. So if that's your screen res and IE is not maximized, chances are that IE is set to a lower width and hence the scrolling[/edit]

Thank you.
I guess I'll need to get used to higher resolution then.

Well, 1024x768 on a 17" or larger CRT or a 15" or larger LCD is not that bad.

how about adding the math/alg forum to the Lounge's forum drop-down ?

It would be nice if there were a separate session for device drivers and directx

When I update an article, I like to read through all the comments, to make sure I have covered all the bugs and maybe include some new features. It's very tedious to do this now - I have to click on the message, then copy to my text editor, then go to next message, then...
It would be nice to have ability to download all comments to a text file - including date, author, subject, and body. This would make that part of updating an article much easier.

I hope this can be a good place for this message, as I don't know how to contact the Code Project guys.....
I'm going to release a new 2D CAD application (I don't post the web site here, as ads is not accepted) and I used some suggestion from the codeproject site.
So I would to thank you for your service inserting codeproject in my Partners list.
I don't ask of course to be inserted in your partners list, but I simple ask the permission to do that on my side
thank you in advance for your time and for a great web site!

Hi,
Can u make FAQ for each board.
If similar kind of forum ask for more then N times then it is put in the
FAQ with good answer.
It will decrease size of board for new user.
Example:
In C# board i read one forum many time.
How to use C++ code(DLL) in C#?

What I really wish see in this box is "My Latest Posts" in all forums. By example, I posted in the SoapBox, Lounge, Suggestion Forums. Then these posts must appear in the box "My Latest Posts". This really will greatly improve my life in the CP

Hi Chris,
This is sort of a repost, (PJ Arends had same problem a few weeks ago). I'm also not receiving any e-mails from CP (since a long time). Are you still on the black lists?
Thanks,
Wout

I second the repost, I'm only getting roughly 1 in 5 responses to posts.

We go on and off them, depending on whether people decide to report us for spam or click the "unsubscribe me" link at the bottom of the newsletters to which they opted in for.

What is the minimum threshold for a snippet to get an expand/collapse button?
|
|
|
|
|
Just what I was wondering because I was taking a look through some articles and only some of the snippets are minimisable.
As of how to accomplish this I wouldn't have a clue at the moment and I'm too lazy to google it
|
|
|
|

About this much (holding my hands apart a few inches)
I'm actually not too happy with performance and may move the code to server side as part of the code snippet colorisation. It will be more accurate then.

it looks cool, but it is useless, one of the only reason to look at some article is to look at the code, and either manually hiding or showing some code will be annoying.
