With help from CPAM3, I did the math and my net rating change on articles was +7.55 rating points, and tips went up by 0.68. Five articles went down in rating, 30 articles went up, and five tips went up.
The change was not so dramatic as to cause any concern.

The only down-side is that you haven't figured out how to improve people's sense of humor.

Have you been tweaking that code? I noticed that several of my articles were reduced in rating with no new associated votes being cast.

Yes - I expanded the accepted deviation from the mean a little to ensure that votes either side of the mean were being counted. Thus, if you have any articles with a bunch of 5s and a few 4s, those 4s are being counted whereas in the first iteration they weren't.

Seriously speaking if person A has a lot of 5s for his article and and someone gives him 4. If it is not counted due to filtering he will still have round 5 but his article's popularity will not grow. Then when a lot of people give him 4s, his rating will drop but his popularity will jump up. I am no sure it is logical.

I'm calculating popularity off the filtered set of votes. I guess using the total number of votes in the Log10 part of the calc makes sense because even if someone is downvoting it's still popular. Popular for trolls...

I'm being lazy. Green means "make sure it's in the queue".
Working on adding some other stuff that will help with tracking the bugs even easier.

For at least some of my articles only 5s are counted for ratings (so I am getting 5 out of 5, even though I also had some 4s). Also the article popularity dropped slightly e.g. from 9 to 8.89 (probably for the same reason that 4s are not counted).
Only 3 of my articles seem to be affected - those related to Silverlight/MEF/Prism.
Is it a bug or a feature?

IF you really want I could try univoting them so their average drops enough to factor the 4's into the scoring again...

Strange! It shows 2 5 votes to it and the bars too are present for 5 but the total rating says '0/5'. Surely a bug!
