You can do it yourself, if you want.
Hover the mouse over your username at the top of the page, and select "My Settings" from the dropdown that appears.
On the right hand side of the page (under your avatar picture, if any) is a checkbox "Close my account"
Tick this, and press the "Save my Settings" button at the bottom of the page.
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Hi..
It is my humble request for adding one features that should allow to drag down the image to site when asking question (just like drag it and paste it)...

Its not good idea and has been mentioned before. There is no way we can moderate all the questions if the people starting posting offensive images.
cheers,
Super

are abuse of the forum. The occasional one may be OK, but flooding the Lounge with them is going too far.
Just my opinion. I haven't flagged any as abuse but feel more tempted each day.

+1 on this one. They were funny when they were limited, and some classic like MQOTD is often the reason I visti the lounge anyway, but they are way too many now.

Why? That is what the lounge is for. If you don't like them you can just ignore them. And if you want to start a different thread you are welcome to do so.

Why are they abuse? The Lounge is a democratic place (supposedly) where people are free to post anything that is within the rules. The OTD posts generally don't violate those rules.

Interestingly OP's account was disabled some time ago. Not sure how this message got posted.

Hmmm. That is interesting.

Although, I completely agree with you, this is not a Bugs & Sugs item. Soapbox, perhaps.

Really? Who are you to decide that? If you don't like it, ignore it. Simple. I can't bear pompous bullies like you who think they can tell everyone else what they can and can't do.

Just for having the Asimov user name, I have to vote you up.

I was merely expressing my opinion, as mentioned in the OP. There was no pomp or bullying intended. You should have known this, since you can read minds.

There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

No. Absuive is foul language, or violation of the rules. The OTDs generally do not violate those rules.
I'd personally rather see them limited to the "classics" (MQOTD, for example), but ignore the others as long as their content is withing the rule boundaries.

+1 to the rest. They disturb you? Ignore them.
You could have raised it as a Suggestion, i.e.:
One possibility could be to add some kind of filter option, I don't know how difficult it would be, but that could increase a bit the personal tastes of people visiting the lounge.
But just ranting... this is not the soapboax

Isn't ranting the first step in the process of creating a new forum from the lounge? IIRC it took several years of ranting about cricket commentary, badly translated jokes that didn't work as typed, and inspirational stories before they were all moved to GIT[^].
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

I think the first step is a constructive suggestion.
Ranting has the risk of being ignored. Just my personal opinion

The drop-down sign-In option on the homepage is not working on my latest chrome version. When I hover the mouse on the sign-In option, the drop-down panel becomes visible, but none of the text-boxes are taking any user input. For signing in, you have to navigate to the sign-In page first. My current chrome version is 45.0.2454.85 m.
Apart from Chrome, I have checked this in IE 11 and FireFox 42.0a2 (2015-09-07)(Dev) and the functionality is working perfectly fine in these browsers.
