In Scientist's are left hanging..., evidently Nitin S was removed but replies to his comment now show being replies to my comment. If you hover over one of them the gray reply thread arrow on the left side points all the way to the top of the page.
It is kind of cool in a messages pointing to a higher power kind of way, so leave it if you want.

I'm a software developer from China. I used to browse CodeProject a lot. There are a lot of technical articles here to learn. But for the past year or so, the website has been loading abnormally, probably because ajax.googleapis.com and codeproject.freetls.fastly.net cannot be accessed in China. Can you consider changing a CDN or you can fall back to a local version of jQuery.
|
|

We already try and avoid fastly for our readers from China, but part of the issue is identifying these readers. We use an IP lookup but that's not always accurate enough.
I'm switching to the Microsoft ASP.NET CDN. Let me know if this helps.

Thanks.
Now the jQuery library can be loaded, but the homepage is still not displayed correctly. It may be because codeproject.freetls.fastly.net cannot be accessed, and several js files and CSS files cannot be loaded.

Whoever added the "remove spam messages when rejected" idea to the automated moderation system deserves a bonus. And thanks.
Nice one, mate! A very definite improvement.

I hit the "Load More" link in the home page, and got this:
One of the questions in QA is duplicated - it you follow either link you get to the same page: Why im not receving the full string when write blankspace between words , but the opposite when I use character , using C++ chat networking library?[^]

This is because of the way we've implemented the Follow system. Each time an item is modified a new entry is added. What we need is a "show only the latest" mode. The issue is that each call to "more" is stateless, so we'd have to do some fenugelling to get that sorted.

I like it because it provides a list of all recent articles with smaller thumbnails and without special topic headings (Python, IoT...).
Differences between the current home page and Beta[^]:
- CodeProjectAI "ad" missing on Beta
- "g+" Visit us on Google+ button on Beta but not on home page
- "Get the Daily Insider" vs "Sign Up to our Daily Insider" (different headings and text)
- Beta Testers' Forum is a blank page
|
|
|

The articles on the beta main page are in one column (instead of two columns).
Is this a private or public beta?

It is old and was going to be removed...

A while ago it was a closed beta for select users.

Profile images are no longer being constrained to the size of the container. For example, on this spam account[^]:

I am attempting to upload a new profile image . All my attempts have failed . I have attempted the following file types jpeg jpg gif . All are smaller than 500K . Is the feature broken ?

Could you please email me (sean@codeproject.com) the image you're trying to use? I'll take a crack at it.

Perhaps the hamsters are getting confused by the branch names? The import form refers to the "master" branch, but newer projects are created with a "main" branch instead.

I run in portrait mode for Chrome, and the home page is getting to look odd:
It's easy to duplicate even on a landscape monitor: open Chrome on the home page without it in full screen mode.
Pull the right edge in until you have just the articles displayed, and you have a scroll bar at the bottom.
Refresh the page. The scroll bar disappears, and everything starts to overlap. It seesm to be related to the length of the article name?
