Sql management studio login issue using windows & mix mode authentication.

We are facing a challenge in login to Sql Management studio, as a System-Owner has left the organisation and we are unable to login to SQL using Windows authentication, along with we do not have any login credentials to login in the SQL server in Mix-Mode and create the NEW SQL user. It will be a great help if we can do workaround for this issue..

Checked all where to find the solution to this issue.. Please help

What I have tried:

Tried all the possible ways, either tried to get the Master DB mdf/ldf attachement, but not possible..

Maybe you can ask the System-Owner what's the credentials then..

Any other possible ways to create new user or need to Uninstall then install again.. Please suggest.

The usual approach is to restart SQL Server in single user mode, connect as a member of the local Administrators group, and change the security as required:

Solution 1

The entire point of having secure logins is that you can't get around them. This is a feature.

We had an issue where we managed to lock the sa account. We had to log in as the server admin and use windows authentication. Maybe that could work?

But in the problem statement, he has already mentioned "Windows Authentication - already not working as owner left the organisation. that means SQL server is installed in the desktop machine and SQL needs to reinstalled by taking the backups..

A local administrator on the server can get around them by restarting SQL in single-user mode. :)
