Pure incompetence. I know for a fact there's at least one ASP.NET google maps control on CP, and it's also the case that the google maps site has tons of easy to understand documentation.

Since you obviously have heard of Google, why not try using it - a quick try gives nearly 4,000,000 hits with the top page all full of instructions on how to do just that.
