How to resolve below issue occurring on adding httphandlers tag while hosting in IIS?

I am getting issue while hosting in IIS.
On adding the httphandler key in web.config I am getting HTTP 500.1 error.Else it is fine.The application is developed in .Net 2.0 framework. The application pool and frameworks are correclty configured.
Below is the new key added in web.config

  <add verb="*" path="*_AppService.axd" validate="false" type="System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"/>

What I have tried:

Have you installed crystal report deployment tool ? does your c:\windows\assembly directory contains reference/dll for crystal report ? Please check
