Question about developping Android app using XAMARIN

is it a good idea to build android applications using Xamarin cross platform ? because i tried other Compiler such as Embarcadero xe7 and
I noticed limitations with the design level and compile times (that was heavy).

Is it a good idea? It depends what you want to achieve, and how much you are willing to pay. Android Studio and Java can create Android apps quite well with compile times that are not too long. You really need to investigate all the oiptions for yourself and make your own judgement.
