how do I use push notification for my GPS tracking project, it is a website based application

I am using GPS tracking system project in asp.net MVC where all the users will be monitored by admin and each user can login to the website application to get the path for the travel, in this I need to notify admin via push notification if new user logged in to the application and also I need to notify the user how much distance they have traveled via push notification, please help me with this.

Look into SignalR, google for examples.
