Let me first say Hello to all of you and let me sent my best regards from Germany.

Prior to my question I investigated the web in different entities like stack overflow a.s.o. But I did'nt found an answer nor di I found it here.

Anywhere, I hope there will be anyone is able to help me.

You know that the the Bindingsource.Positionchanged event or the simmilar event from it's CurrencManager ist fired AFTER the position has changed. What I need is a way to capture it immediatliy after the movement job is activated but not finished that means BEFORE the position has changed like not existing events .PositionIsChanging or . BeforePositionChanges. Shure I can hook on the .MoveXXX/add/Remove events to do so but what if the user forces this actions by a control like the DataGrid.

Can anyone please give me an answer and an example would be great.

Thank you for your help
best regards Guenter

Why don't you go for creating a custom event by monitoring the position...

Hello, that is indeed what I want (creating a new event "PositionChangingStarts") but the question is still open where to hook up the event. I need to capture the >begin< of the position changin action when the form controls still have their values and not at the end when the record has changed and the controls have the value of the new record!
