I want to buy a windows server as I have a linux server in my office which wont support asp pages.

Which windows server will support my project?

Can anyone suggest me please. I need .net framework 4.0, sql server 2008 r2.

Will be glad if anyone can guide me.

Thanks

Hi,

You required windows server 2003 or higher.

As you are using .net 4.0 its compatible with IIS 6 and Sql Server 2008 R2 is also supported by Windows Server 2003 and higher

Thanks

Windows server 2003 will deprecate very soon, so I would suggest you to Go for Windows server 2008 / 2012.

Now editions : Windows Server 2008 : http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/3556.differences-between-the-editions-of-windows-server-2008.aspx

Windows Server 2012 : http://blogs.technet.com/b/ieitpro/archive/2012/10/08/windows-server-2012-editions.aspx

will provide you a fair idea which one to choose...
