Sounds like a school assignment. Try google, it shouldn't be that hard to find the answers.

We do not do your homework: it is set for a reason. It is there so that you think about what you have been told, and try to understand it. It is also there so that your tutor can identify areas where you are weak, and focus more attention on remedial action.

Try it yourself, you may find it is not as difficult as you think!

If you meet a specific problem, then please ask about that and we will do our best to help. But we aren't going to do it all for you!

1) MAC Address - Hardware address - this is a physical address of the network card. This is used in the routing table of the router. It is used to give the PC a physical address for a node (PC / piece of equipment) attached to the network, this of this as a house number on a street. This is the address the router uses to map your computer to a IP Address.

2) IP Address - Network addres, this is an address assigned to a node on a network. Its used as a locator for traffic to talk to other devices on the network. These are usually assigned dynamically by DHCP or manually by network admin. This is address that other computers use to contact you on the network.

From these descriptions they may sound the same but big difference is MAC addresses are unique and permanent cannot be changed, and IP addresses can be changed.

not sure what your meaning by PC Port Location? do you mean the location of the router/ hub/switch /patch panel? if so bare in mind ethernet cables can only run a maximum of 100m

and im unable to answer the dedicated ports question sorry.
