Hello ,

I am new to MVC and preparing for microsoft certification: 70-486 using "Exam Ref 70-486 : Developing Asp.Net Mvc 4 Web Applications English" book as reference. I personally feel that content in this book is bit complicated for me and there isn't any practical samples to perform.

DO you have any idea about any of book which shows everything step by step with examples and practice exercise to solve and code ?

Thanks,
Posted

Can we avoid any discussions on certifications as off-topic? It has nothing to do with topics of this forum. Certification is unrelated to programming, but only to some bureaucracy built around software. This equal success, we could discuss developers salaries or benefits. Besides, I never heard that certification had any significance. It is not knowledge and not education. If some companies are interested in certifications, this is their problems...

So you mean to say Certifications are of no use ???? and if this discussion is Off-Topic then why do we have "Certification" tag in "Tags" ?

I don't know. Anyone can add a tag. I mean to say what I said: do you know any use of these certification? I don't. This is your problem though. I don't understand why should we discuss it.

1.You should start with the videos tutorials provided free by Plurasight. Here is the link:

2.More trainings info could be found also at the next link: http://www.asp.net/mvc/videos[^]

Welcome!
I think you should not learn MVC only to pass that exam. You should learn it to gain experience in it.
Follow this[^] article.
Same author has written articles from Part 1 to Part 6. I think these will be good for getting started.

Thanks for your suggestion. I am learning it to gain knowledge... Otherwise I would have asked for dumps rather than book :)
