Installation Error In Windows 8

Hi I had Error Like this
Component Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Report Viewer has failed to install with the following error message:
"A failure occurred attempting to install Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Report Viewer."

The following components were successfully installed:
- Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008 (x86, x64)

The following components failed to install:
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Report Viewer

See the setup log file located at 'C:\Users\VENKAT~1\AppData\Local\Temp\VSD329.tmp\install.log' for more information.

While installing the application which is developed by own, i had the above error. Setup created windows 7 based system. Error occurred only on windows 8 based system.

Application Front End: Visual Studio 2008
Back End :MSAccess

Have you looked at the install.log file?
Have you checked that Visual Studio 2008 is even supported on Windows 8? (It might be, I don't know).

why don't you install VS 2012 or 2013?
