Get current cursor position from tinymce?

How to get cursor position from tinymce? with out using the bookmark in tinymce and get the current cursor position in tinymce. previously i used the getCaretposition but it takes the paragraph tag also and it's give wrong cursor position. Anybody knows please suggest me..

Thank you for reply i want tinymce current caret position with out using getbookmark() and Selection function....... pls suggest me any articles.
