Hi guys,
I would like to know which are the best opensource framework to develop android and ios Apps.
I have found Xamrin, but my doubt is that which of the following is for free.

This is shown as a paid product (With their various rate packs)
http://xamarin.com/monoforandroid[^]

These are not shown as paid in this website, so are these two for free ?
http://xamarin.com/visual-studio[^]
http://xamarin.com/studio[^]

I know this one is an opensource
http://mono-project.com/Main_Page[^]

Or give me another best option if any.

ASP.NET?? You're going to turn a phone into a web server? ASP.NET code generates HTML that is sent to a clients browser. ASP.NET code runs entirely server-side, not on the browser.

Hello friend!
well I would like to add something in my own opinion that everything has a price. the best of the best android development in c# is xamarin (currently) but I think that it is worth buying it. but ultimately its up to you.so make a wise decision !
good luck.
happy coding!

Thanks,But there is a free option called "STARTER". Is there any problem using that?.
Iam alsosonfused with their list of products http://xamarin.com/products . Does they all have seperate installing or as a single package. And is the "STARTER" pack available for each products in that list or the starter pack is common for all,i am confused.

no not at all. starter is good but is limited so you can use it to "start" android development but when get on and going your gonna need more workspace so you can buy it then...
For Android Development use Eclipse editor is freeware. but in
C# then use Xamiarin is best but is having license..

if you let me I'll even recommend another solution. Perhaps it will be shooting a fly with a cannon if you're not developing a game, but, depending on the application and other conditions, Unity3D (http://unity3d.com/unity/[^]) has one free licence. It supports C# as scripting language.
