You might want to right some PL SQL - something like this[^].

Ishas, you should look at the answer given by Abhinav better : you can use LPAD and RPAD in oracle queries, that's why I reacted a bit sarcastic. Another link : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14200/functions001.htm
